Al Gore invented the internet.
Obama killed the internet.
Seems to be a Democrat thing.

This bill should be opposed by all patriotic Americans. Zero and his leftist allies would love to force us all to get our news and commentary from NPR and the NYT, both government subsidized and run, of course.

I say he's a fascist. His actions make it plain. He doesn't want to "own" the means of production -- but he does want to control everything.

I’ve been saying that since the end of 2008 - a Marxist.
To: anniegetyourgun
The most frightening idea yet. Lieberman? This needs to go viral.
To: anniegetyourgun
People aren’t buying the MSM’s load of commie crap anymore and are turning to the net for info. The net is doing more to expose traitorous RATs and Rinos than anything. Of course they’ll try to kill it.

Latest bill from a commie/cRAT near you. Notice how 0’b is so consumed with shutting down/controling/eliminating anything to do with freedom? Keep listening the audio will get louder.

Here is my question.
For what purpose would the Internet or portions of it be shut down?
I cannot see any case where doing so would help National Security.
One might say they could shut down Jihad websites, but then where will they get their ‘intelligence’ from?

Isn’t this like the the third version of this we’ve seen in LESS THAN A YEAR.
What is so very critical that the government needs such far reaching powers as to shut down the internet, cell phones and landlines?
Folks, legislation like this should scare the **** out of you.

It would be shut down to prevent people such as us from communicating, to stop the quick flow of information.
