(CNN) - Whispers about Nikki Haley's Sikh heritage burst into public view in the final days of South Carolina's Republican gubernatorial primary when state Sen. Jake Knotts called the Indian-American legislator a "raghead."
Knotts offered a pseudo-apology and was roundly condemned for the remark. Haley went on to win the primary in dominant fashion, capturing nearly 50 percent of the vote in a four-way race. She now faces Rep. Gresham Barrett in the June 22 runoff election.
But while Haley's commanding win last Tuesday proved her electoral viability - she won 42 of the state's 46 counties in the primary, including evangelical-heavy areas like Greenville and Spartanburg - it did not completely erase suspicions about her faith.

” Some say
_______......(insert bull$hit)................”
That’s about it.
It’s been a while since I left the United Methodist Church, but I’ve never heard the word ‘parish’ used in reference to a group of Methodists. In addition, last I knew, the ministers in UMC churches were regularly rotated by the denomination with a minimum term of 2 years, and a maximum of 7. So, if the minister you have now is Bible-believing, the next one may not.
Sikh’s are good people. Why is this an issue? Perhaps, this is a non-issue the left is hoping to coax from a spark to flame in order to avoid the inevitable conflagration of the Dem candidate?
Hmmm, this seems problematic unless the Methodist minister was baptized by immersion.
CNN concerned about the feelings of Christians? Riiight! Just look up what Ted Turner has said about Christians. Stuart Varney (now on Fox) can tell some war stories.
As a Roman-Catholic, I hope Haley wins by the widest margin in SC gubernatorial election history.

It is not going to turn people away from her.
What a bunch of crap they dole out. I am sure they are counting on Southerners voting for the white dude because, well, he is not a foreign chick.
BTW, We seem to get all the good looking ones.
