Greene is perfect for the Rat party. Black, liberal, and dim-witted.

It has to be that the Dems figured that this is exactly the kind of thing that THEY would have done so the Reps must have done it to them. Probably looking to find out how to do it themselves at some point in the future.

>> “When we polled ... two weeks before the primary Rawl had only 4 percent favorable name recognition... We could make up just about any name and ask their favorability on a poll and get 4 percent, so that more or less amounts to zero name recognition. In a contest where both candidates have no name recognition somebody’s going to win and people’s votes are going to be based on pretty random, nonintellectual judgments.”

OUCH!

That’s got to sting (if you’re a ‘Rat).

Chris Matthews thinks that because the state has open primaries, Republican voters sabotaged the Democrat favorite and "cross-voted" for Greene. Hilarious since Demint isn't in a tight race for this seat and no "conspiracy" was detected by the usual 'Rat victim brigade in the weeks preceding the vote.

I just luv, luv, luv this story.

Please give us the details rather than innuendo of your logic, Senator. How were you able to tell this was a pubbie plot?

Where did he get the $10K+ filing fee?

Clyburn has called for an investigation into the source of funds that Greene used to pay his state party's $10,440 filing fee. He has also asked the S.C. Democratic Party to request that the federal government investigate the matter, said Kristie Grecko, a spokesperson for his office.

I still want to know where he got the $10,000 to file as a candidate.

There is a famous Woody Allen quote that “90 percent of life is just showing up.” Alvin Greene just proved that sometimes, you don’t even need to do that.

William of Ockham agrees.

Great article.

People voted for Greene for whatever reason. Yet now some Democrats want to overturn the people's choice and they say it publicly - that part has scary implications. This was not even a close election, and no piles of ballots kept turning up afterward as happened in Minnesota.

Greene won legitimately, because:

—Out is In

—Unemployed veteran trumps career lawyer politician

***Clyburn says he does not see himself supporting Greene, and says he believes Greene was planted in the race by someone.***

Bunkum. In many elections there are people who run with no intention of trying to win. They see it as a cheap form of advertising for their firm.

Several years ago one of these almost won an election, and was sweating the last votes out hoping to loose. He did loose by just a few votes.

Greene was legally elected to run by citizens of his state.

Such as, say, race? This man got 100,000 votes.

It’s simple. Black liberals voted for him because he’s a black Democrat. I guess the MSM can’t just come out and say that though.

“Shortly after the election, Robert Ford, an African-American South Carolina state senator who ran for governor, offered the theory that voters could tell Greene was black by his last name: “No white folks have an ‘e’ on the end of Green.”

Wow, I never knew that Lorne Greene (AKA Ben Cartwright) was black.
