Chris Matthews thinks that because the state has open primaries, Republican voters sabotaged the Democrat favorite and "cross-voted" for Greene. Hilarious since Demint isn't in a tight race for this seat and no "conspiracy" was detected by the usual 'Rat victim brigade in the weeks preceding the vote.

There is precident. In open ballot primaries demcrats elected McCain, foisting on the Republican party an undesirable candidate who lost.
