Washington, DC, Jun 14 - U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-Lillington) released the following statement on the viral video which appeared on the internet today:
I have seen the video posted on several blogs. I deeply and profoundly regret my reaction and I apologize to all involved. Throughout my many years of service to the people of North Carolina, I have always tried to treat people from all viewpoints with respect. No matter how intrusive and partisan our politics can become, this does not justify a poor response. I have and I will always work to promote a civil public discourse.
Rep. Bob Etheridge (NC-02)
That is the statement of a weasel who is feeling the flames dancing around his toes.
The question was viewpoint neutral, wasn't it?
What, Rep. "TKO" Etheridge, is so heinous about the Obama Agenda that caused you to overreact and become violent? You voted for Obama's agenda. Defend it, dammit.
Ha! Suck it libtard bloggers (Gawker) and Washington Compost! You’ve tried to spin this and it won’t work!
I understand the real reason for the assault is that he felt threatened when the n-word was shouted at him. (Hey, it worked for Congressman Cleaver.)
Had he known there was a second camera on him, he would not have reacted "poorly". He just didn't think he was going to get caught. Typical democrat.
