South Carolina congressman Jim Clyburn says he knew something was wrong in the Democratic primary for a U.S. Senate seat, which was won by an unemployed political unknown.
The Democratic congressman said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union" that he saw odd tactics with his own primary challenger. He says he discovered a Republican congressman's campaign manager was running the campaign for Clyburn's opponent.
He said: "I know a Democratic pattern, I know a Republican pattern, and I saw in the Democratic primary elephant dung all over the place."
Clyburn says he does not see himself supporting Greene, and says he believes Greene was planted in the race by someone.
Clyburn has called for an investigation in to the primary won by Alvin Greene, a 32-year-old military veteran who faces a felony

He wants an investigation of how a BLACK MAN won in a district in which 55% of 2008 Primary voters were black??
Are you F-in kidding me???
Takes a shit to recognize shit. And Clyburn is at the top of the cesspool.
I am suspicious. But not of GOP dirty tricks (which are frequently allegedly, rarely if ever proven—unlike Democrap dirty tricks, which lead to arrests and convictions).
I am suspicious that this was an ACORN trial run for stealing an election—a throw away race in SC lets them work on their dirty tricks to work out kinks for November.
There is an ACORN like organization in Sumter. It is named Wateree Community Actions Inc.
This organization received over 8 million dollars from Obamas stimulus to create 4 jobs.
I do not know if they are involved. But, I bet WCA knows they were involved.
Someone should point out to Clyburn that he is tanking Al Green’s chances to win the Senate seat.
I cannot wait for the debates!
The way I see it is this: the voters voted for Mr. Greene, he won, and that’s final.
It is absolutely hilarious, but he is who the voters chose.
Vic Rawl lost because people are very unhappy with career politicians. If they have a chance to vote for a career politician to hit the road they will.
Now, Clyburn dear, why don't you look in the mirror and think about why that is?
If you have any trouble thinking of the reason you might find enlightenment in the slime trail you leave behind.
Well done!
Yeah....
Long form birth certificates at 20 paces.
Many people were voting for anyone who was not a prior politician. In California an insurance department employee won over a state legislator who ended up breaking a raise the taxes pledge.
I voted for all unknowns in the primary last week.
Poooooooooor Jim
A black candidate outpolled a white candidate in a majority black district.
Why should this be a surprise?
Clyburn called Greene a “Republican plant.”
What Clyburn is telling us is that he has knowledge of the tactic of using a “plant” in this way.
