The UK Is Now Freaking Out About The U.S. Reaction To BP

The UK is freaking out right now about the U.S. reaction to the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Major Conservative political leader and Mayor of London Boris Johnson has called President Barack Obama's language "anti-British" after the President called BP 'British Petroleum' rather than its modern name.

Conservative Lord Tebbit's quote is just too vitriolic to paraphrase.

From The Daily Mail:

"The whole might of American wealth and technology is displayed as utterly unable to deal with the disastrous spill - so what more natural than a crude, bigoted, xenophobic display of partisan political Presidential petulance against a multinational company," said Lord Tebbit.

Much of the furor over the fallout from the BP spill in the UK stems from the potential damage to the company's dividends, which are linked to many pensions in the country.

Now UK Prime Minister David Cameron is going to speak personally to U.S. President Barack Obama over the issue, in an effort to calm the tensions between the two countries.

But the UK's Spectator blog doesn't think Cameron has a chance of stopping Obama on his warpath, as the U.S. president has no choice but to attack with his poll numbers sagging.

It shows how utterly insane our world has become. I am no supporter of the Marxist Obama, but BP is the initial for British Petroleum. This is another example of Newspeak. Let us not call things what they are, but let us hide reality through language. Are people really that dumb that they did not know that BP stood for British Petroleum?

The Brits, BP and the US Govt are all for the global warming carbon tax scheme.

This is all a charade.

“Obama’s language “anti-British” after the President called BP ‘British Petroleum’ rather than its modern name.”

Please,, thats what BP stands for. I also call it Kentucky fried chicken instead of KFC. Obama the marxist muslim sucks, but england is no friend of ours. They regard us as a colony that got out of hand and really should support anything they want. They see us as the muscle to execte the plan they formulate.

"I suspect BP would have performed their cleanup with better diligence if this spill had occurred on the shores of merry old England."

You're probably right, newbie...obama's regime wouldn't have been in the f****** way.

Nothing to do with Obama, BP could care less about polluting some former colony, but if it was the motherland, they’d be jumping through a million hoops to keep the oil from hitting the shores.

And the fact that BP was leading the charge for Obama’s carbon taxes.

All the carbon credits in the world can't save this marriage.

Imagine the response if the oil spill occured 40 miles off of Liverpool. And it was an American company that was drilling in their backyard.

And don’t forget,, BP has utterly lead the charge for cap and trade. They “changed” their name solely to remove the word “petroleum”. Anyone remember all those retarded “man on the street” BP commercials, where some resident of Boulder or somewhere like that is asking for solar powered cars,,etc,, and the serious voiceover starts saying how they are working for a world without oil?

Screw BP.

I’m confused. Wasn’t I reading throughout the election year, about how especially Britain, along with the rest of Europe, really, really, wanted Hussein as the US president?

And the Brits certainly have no problem with an overbearing government watching their every move, limiting their freedoms, telling businesses what they can do, and even to the point of having state controlled businesses.

So, not sure I understand what their problem is with our marxist trying to steal BP and make it the state controlled oil company of the socialist states of america?

But, for the other 2 people in GB, who actually liked Thatcher, this is not satisfying. Remember GB’s response to a reverse situation, believe it was on a platform in the North Sea, Piper Alpha or something like that.

My own opinion, is the our marxist is way over the top and way out of line as usual.

Finally someone puts these words where they belong...and it ain’t on the TEA party.

‘crude, bigoted, xenophobic display of partisan political Presidential petulance against a multinational company,’ said Lord Tebbit.

When was the last time someone had to make an ‘effort to calm the tensions between the two countries [US and UK]’?

The War of 1812?

This is what you get when a man with no experience is elected. Including no diplomatic experience.

What about my statement regarding BP’s actions say anything bitter about jolly olde England? Bitter against BP perhaps, and with very good reason.

Are people really that dumb that they did not know that BP stood for British Petroleum?

I would wager that, if you polled that question, over 50% of the responses would be either guessing ("er, Best Pumps?") or "don't know".

You are right, now that you mention it. But isn't Boris the spider Red Ken's handpicked successor?

Why should any American hold the slightest loyalty towards that totalitarian nation. They confiscated guns, outlawed hunting, have a monarchy, side with muslims and promote sharia, have ended free speech, have the most aggressive thought police in Europe, have universal camera coverage, and have also been the home of the global warming scam.

I won’t even get into the methods England used to drag us into their wars, or mention the fact that england is the genesis of most problems in the middle east.

Obama absolutely sucks,,, but Ill never understand Anglopholia in an American. There was a time about 100 years ago when Americans instictively knew that England was not to be trusted. Opposing obama should not involve silly support of England. If they did not speak a minority dialect of English, they and their royalty would be another country that merited close watching.

My bad. I looked it up here. I see that Johnson actually ousted Red Ken in a fair election. So it would make sense for ObaMao to hate him.

If the oil spill happened 50 miles off the NE coast the oil would wash up on British shores.
