It was billed as a triumphant comeback, but Whitney Houston's tour is not exactly panning out that way.

The 46-year-old singer, who looked bloated and sweaty on stage, delivered another disastrous performance in Denmark over the weekend.

I feel bad for her, her mind is not strong enough apparently. When I was a kid, she was the strong female songstress. Nobody stepped on Whitney. Then she met that jerk with the pills and she was gone forever. I just hope she has strength left in her.

I’m not sure she is on the road to recovery yet, the reports are that people left in droves because the performance sucked.

Who knows, maybe she just gained weight. Does any of that make her less of an artist?

I wonder if Kevin Costner wants to kiss her now?

are you dense? did you read the article? of course being overweight doesn’t contribute to a bad performance. She had a bad performance, and, due to her past drug use (and possible current, we don’t know)she is bloated. Try to keep up.

So so sad. This woman had it all..beauty, talent... Addiction is a terrible, terrible thing.

Agree. She had it all, and destroyed it all. What a terrible waste.

What's really painful is that she's out there on the road trying to do her act, and is bombing miserably. No artist who's come back from the horrors of drugs like she has should ever attempt a return to the stage until they've really got their chops back.

i hope this is about her gaining weight because of being clean and sober. I wonder though from the reviews on her performance—which is all I care about. Weight is not even an issue honestly as I agree with CC. Being in recovery myself I understand there are times it is a cookie or coke or a cake or alcohol and thank God and AA it has thus far always turned out to be the food (although there are many other healthier options most of the time.)

I thought addiction made you thin.

I have seen the occasional photo of a fat meth head, too, and I wondered, how did that happen?

No one ever accused Aretha Franklin of being skinny and she’s still going strong.

I’ve read that she is taking steriods because of respiratory infections that she can’t beat. She has the classic “moonface” and extra weight cortisone gives.

Why can’t she beat the infection is the problem. Is it because of drugs, or because she has overwhelmed?

Part of being a performer is the look. She was gorgeous in her prime. Of course fans will be unhappy to see her like this. Some performers can pull it off. I saw Donna Summers a few years ago. She’s a big fat lady now, but her voice is even more powerful than it was during her hit years. If Whitney could sing, still, all would be forgiven. Sadly it seem the crack and the dope have destroyed her pipes, and she is now fat and ugly.

She would be better off working on her greatest hits album than trying to sing her way out of her problems. It’s over for her. The sooner she realizes it the better. Sorry to say, because I honestly idolized this woman as a singer.

Still, it’s over.

In contrast, Ronnie James Dio made his first record in 1959 and toured and recorded continuously until his death at age 67 last month. Whitney is a pop has-been, rock n roll never dies.
