Former presidential candidate McCain battling for his political life against GOP conservative

A serious re-election fight wasn't what Republican John McCain expected when he returned to the Senate after losing the presidency.

But the four-term senator is battling for his political life in a race that embodies the volatility of an unpredictable election year. He's facing former Rep. J.D. Hayworth, a fellow Republican pushing him farther to the right as GOP voters demand conservative purity in their candidates and punish those with ties to the Washington establishment.

Two longtime Senate incumbents have fallen —

You and rabs have descended to the lowest level imaginable in your hatred of McCain. This is just the sort of comments I have been decrying. Shame on you both.

If he is good enough for Sarah and Fred, he’s good enough for me. Are they no longer conservatives in your book? How about all who voted for McCain in 2008? Are they a bunch of RINOs?

Can someone please explain to me how opposing a person like MeCain, ranks you as a one-percenter? The guy is fighting for his life in his own home state, and this is supposed to make someone who opposes him a one percenter?

How about this, Conservatives that support McCain are zero percenters. There aren’t any.

Thank you, BTTT. That’s even more detailed than what someone sent me recently (and that I couldn’t find).

In my case at least, that’s true. I was leaning towards supporting Hayworth until Sarah came out for McCain. I trust Sarah’s judgment and so should the rest of you.

Instead of being cute, why don’t you seriously address my comment? Do you really think conservatives would support someone who was either of those three things? If you really don’t believe he is either of them, then maybe it’s time to stop with the slander. If you do believe he is one or both or all three, then what does it say about someone who would support a candidate who they consider a “treasonous bastard”, a “Democrat mole”, or a “traitor”?

Once again, for the permanently slow...

J.D. Haworth is not Barack Obama.

That being the case, Sarah and Fred will have to explain why they think supporting a man that join’s Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Russel Feingold, George Soros, Terresa Heinz Kerry, Abortion supporters, Gun detractors, Gitmo Criticizers, globalist efforts, and couldn’t find anything wrong with electing Barack Obama to be president.

I don’t really need to explain myself. My actions are those of a Conservative who agrees with Conservative tenets. That makes sense.

What they are doing doesn’t.

Explain to me how McCain stopped it.

Massive contributions or promises to the appropriate RINOs might be one way:

Are they no longer Conservatives? Well, that’s a damned good question isn’t it. There are a lot of us who are no longer convinced they are. You can’t support what Conservatives do, then back a guy who disagrees with about 95% of it.

“Once again, for the permanently slow...”

You know what I dislike? I dislike those who are Hayworth personally trashing those who are for McCain.

If you can’t do with all the insults then it just proves you really don’t have worthy points to forward in support of Hayworth.

Thank you for including me, given how you jump when Sarah tells you to obey, I know that you have a lot of credibility.

By the way, the only ones typically spewing the “hate” card are inevitably from the Left.

And this is exactly why Palin is part of the problem.

J.D. Hayworth's loss will be pinned on Palin because of her followers and disciples.

I agree.

I support Palin, but I reject her supposed requirement to be “loyal” and that “loyalty is a conservative value.”

What a misguided way of thinking.

Because of Sarah Palin’s “loyalty” we are going to be dealing with McCain for another term.

Maybe Sarah Palin should rethink this kind of “loyalty.”

Wow...sorry to be so late to reply, do not know how I possibly missed your post.

To answer your cute little question.

There were two (2) candidates running for President in the General Election on was McCain and one was obama. Support was given to the candidate running against obama.

Sara? Please compare and contrast McCain's opponent in the Presidential campaign and in this campaign.

I lived in AZ for six years. JD's loss was the result of intense targeting by the Dems; despite his pork-filled ways, he's still ideologically better than McCain.

Cheers!
