A man busted for growing marijuana in Trousdale County said he was helping the country fight terrorism.
Authorities found 283 plants at a home on Middlefork Road last week.
They have not released the suspect's name, but the sheriff said the man told him he had seen former President George W. Bush once say that people who buy drugs off the street were supporting terrorism, so he decided to grow his own.

The WOD does support terrorism : the government terrorizes some of it s citizenry and makes lots of money, the overseas terrorists make lots of money, the gangs selling drugs on the streets terrorize neighborhoods and make lots of money.
It is a win-win-win for everybody!

I suppose if we can blame Bush for Al & Tipper’s break-up, we can blame him for anything. (It’s kinda becoming like playing “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon”!)

It is a win-win-win for everybody! Some folks "win" more than others. Seeing these photos makes me want to by Colt stock....

Have to agree. The guy does ‘think on his feet’ and in his delusion probably believes what he says.
Isn’t this like saying “Officer, the reason I have the gun is that three weeks ago I found it at a bus stop and didn’t want it falling into the wrong hands.”

Should be allowed to grow it and market it, using this excuse. Just as long as 100% of the proceeds go to any of the organizations that support our troops.

"not guilty"
Agreed. That's the most original, screwball explanation I've heard in a long time.

No doubt, He probably didn't fill out his census form to create a job for a census worker. A true patriot.

I guarantee he and his buddies had laughed at this joke dozens of times as they were “pruning” their harvest.
Still funny tho.
