Man if they would have just done the job right and BP had not tried to cut corners they would be raking the dough in on all that oil spewing out like a firehose. Stupid.
Looks like total fail to me.
Apparently this is the method BP wanted to try first, weeks ago, and the Obama Administration micromanaged their way into forcing them to exhaust other options instead. “Never let a good crisis go to waste,” right? Now the long drug-out disaster is being blamed as a reason to shut down oil exploration and drilling in favor of “safer” green technology. Do it for the children. And baby seals.

I hope Obama gets to make his “Thank God I stopped the leak” speech soon.
(Because let’s face it, we all know that’s exactly what he’s gonna do once BP finally fixes this.)
My understanding is that BP wanted to do this first but the Obama administration told BP to do this as a last resort!

They had best pray to whatever god they pray to, because that cut off pipe is gushing a lot more (20-30 percent) oil than it was before they cut it.

Well it looks like maybe this will shut off most of oil because Odumbo is going down there to claim all the credit for the second time!!
The critical thing here is to not let the enviro-Nazi’s use this to create a “Three-Mile Island” event.
We need the oil. We’re in the deep waters of the Gulf because of over-regulation and environmental fear mongering.
The key here is to accurately assess the technical aspects (we’ve learned a lot) & the political aspects.
These are Democrat & Obama cronies who were given a pass. Obama knew within 24 hours the seriousness of the leak and did nothing for 12 days plus.
We need to keep drilling - move it back to land. Add nuclear power and America is all right again (after ousting the Dems from Congress).
I'm no engineer, but it sure as heck looks like the problem is getting worse, not better.
