Here’s another: Brett Hull’s Stanley Cup winning OT goal in 1999, with his foot illegally in the crease before the puck.

Galaragga and Joyce both showed class and maturity here. When will this insufferable president show some?

Good grief -- don't those people in Washington have something more important to worry about? Like a bankrupt economy, nutball mullas building nukes in Iran, threats of war in Korea, or oil gushing in the Gulf of Mexico.

How the hell can they find the time to stick their noses into baseball decisions?

Baseball — “White House should mind its own damn business”

Don’t you have an economy to fix? Couple of wars to tend to? Homeland to defend? Border to secure? Oil gusher to plug?

It's not the first bad call an umpire has ever made, and it won't be the last, unless Obama wants to create a Blue Ribbon Commission to look into this extremely important matter. Then they can present their findings to Congress so the House and Senate can create a law that can attached to a Bill so at the last minute, at least 1 Trillion Dollars in earmarks can be attached so both the House and Senate can feel good about passing it. Then Obama can interrupt Prime time TV with a special signing ceremony and have both the poor pitcher and mean horrible umpire stand at his sides while he signs this historic bill into law.

Yo Kenyan Race Marxist:

Would it make any difference, in your measured, Ivy League judgment, if it were Whitey Whitney from a say a conservative Texas suburb, who was cheated out of a perfect game?

So glad to see the White House is right out in front on this disaster. It will be a great comfort to the people in the Gulf.

Obama is right on this one. It is not really about the player or the umpire at this point. Having a perfect game was/is a source of pride for Detroit, an area that badly needs some good news for a change. Bug Selig is a coward for not reversing the call. At least the umpire manned up.
