The big question in my mind is why is the administration leaking this now? Why is AP even reporting it? Are they trying to get ahead of something else and spin this somehow?

Administration officials dangled the possibility of a job for former Colorado House Speaker Andrew Romanoff last year Let me guess...they were going to make him a Czar.

John McCormick on the Weekly Standard's blog has this take:
"As much as the White House might want to claim that Romanoff was merely offered an unpaid White House internship or a spot on an unpaid advisory board, the Denver Post reported that Romanoff had specifically been offered a job to head USAID. If true, that would appear to be a quid pro quo in violation of the law."

Romanoff,Sestak.........Blago makes sense.Connect the dotters in the press are conspicuously absent. But Plame outed by Armitage was Cheney’s crime and was on the front pages for a couple of years.(eyes rolling)Imagine that.

Another day in the Obama Administration, another federal crime. Someone wake me up if it begins to look as though any of this will be treated seriously.

Seems to me that by staying silent and not coming clean, Sestak and Romanoff might be at risk of becoming accessories to the crimes.

I hope this is more than just a silly feeling, but this leak seems to be VERY important. Maybe I’m wrong, but someone is trying to send a message. IMO, this could be the start of the undoing of Obama.

“Administration officials dangled the possibility of a job for former “
“These officials declined to specify the job that was floated or the name of the administration official who approached Romanoff, and said no formal offer was ever made.”
It is really hard to reconcile these two sentences. Technically, it is true. No specific (singular) job was offered. Several were offered. No formal offer was made? Then what the hell was made? Possibility does not pass the BS test.
