Paul McCartney on Obama: 'Lay Off Him'
Fox News ^ | 6/2/10 | Fox Staff

(June 2) -- Paul McCartney is a man known for his words, usually when they're set to music. But he chose some special ones at the Library of Congress to praise President Barack Obama, before whom he will soon be performing: Let him be.

"I have to say I'm a big fan, he's a great guy," McCartney said at a Washington news conference Tuesday that was attended by politicians as well as journalists. "So lay off him, he's doing great."

...

Perhaps as an example of his global concerns, McCartney called the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico "a disgrace."

"I think most of us think it's a disgrace, and the fact that something like this can happen" is something that is "going to be addressed," he said.

-------------

Oh Paul ... BP is a BRITISH COMPANY!

BP has NOTHING to do with MEXICO!

British Petroleum (BP) is a UK company.

BP plc[2] is a British global energy company which is the third largest energy company and the fourth largest company in the world. As a multinational oil company ("oil major") BP is the UK's largest corporation, with its headquarters in St James's, City of Westminster, London.

There are a lot of people who agree with Paul McCartney. I, personally, know 4 of them. It’s like talking to a wall.

First, someone should tell Mr. McCarthy we kicked the meddling British out of the United States twice already.

Second, someone should remind Mr. McCarthy that what happens inside American politics is none of his freakin’ business. Frankly, I do not care if he likes Obama or not.

Third, someone should remind that little Liverpudlian that the order of words is important. We want to lay Obama off as soon as possible.

Tell Sir Paul to lay off telling us what to do! He may have the money to escape the bad consequences of his choices but WE don’t!

Okay, I wrote a song for my FRiends, in honor of Paul...hope you like it.

(to the music from “Paperback Writer”)

Dear Sir or Madam, have you met the prez
He’s for “hope & change”, at least that’s what he says
He’s known to hang out with some shady friends
But the media hid it
Now he wants to be a commie dictator, COMMIE DICTATOR!

It’s a dirty story, of a Marxist man
But the voters didn’t seem to understand
The productive citizens must pay the price
‘cuz there’s needy folks
and he wants to be a commie dictator, COMMIE DICTATOR!

Commie dictator…

It’s two thousand pages, give or take a few
It’s no good for Congress, but it’s GREAT for you!
The social healthcare will cost billions more
It took bribes and payoffs
But he wants to be a commie dictator, COMMIE DICTATOR!

The illegal ones demanding equal rights
If you try to fight it, you’re a racist white
They can rob and rape, and get free healthcare too
But he needs the votes
‘cuz he to be a commie dictator, COMMIE DICTATOR!

Commie dictator – commie dictator
Commie dictator – commie dictator

Eff you and your Beatles.

Those SOB’s helped lead a pied piper movement that led youth to drugs and counter culture destruction, and encouraged them to work for victory of communism in Vietnam.

Go to hell Mr. McCartney.

There is a veritable cottage industry in the UK assisting high-income celebrity types to relocate to more tax-friendly environs. That's why you have people like Roger Moore (Switzerland) and Mick Jagger (Jamaica) looking to bail out of the “motherland”.

Even some of the UK politicians have other “official” residence countries. The recent election caused a stir with some members of the Lords being in a “non-dom” status... again, hypocrisy in action -

I must respectfully disagree. The Beatles were about as non-political as a successful rock band could get in the '60s.

Bob Dylan, The Doors, even Donovan and Joan Baez had more anti-war rhetoric in their songs than the Beatles, who did more to spoof the political mentality, as with their song Revolution.

The Beatles and the Rolling Stones (Street Fighting Man) were seen as burgeousie opportunists by the radical Left. No one took their songs seriously. I know, I was there.

As for 'Sir' Paul McCartney, all he has proved since the breakup of the Beatles is that he is incapable of writing quality songs on his own, same as John Lennon. But I can't hate him, nor feel sorry for him and his self-made wealth.

If the truth be known, the anti-establishment, proletarian-oriented music started with the Weavers and Pete Seeger, way back in the '50s. Now those were some real subversives.

Probably their most political song was "Taxman."
