WASHINGTON Film director James Cameron may have another blockbuster on his hands.
Federal officials are hoping Cameron can help them come up with ideas on how to stop the disastrous oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, officials said today.
The Avatar and Titanic director was among a group of scientists and other experts who met Tuesday with officials from the Environmental Protection Agency and other federal agencies for a brainstorming session on stopping the massive oil leak.
The Canadian-born Cameron is considered an expert on underwater filming and remote vehicle technologies. Avatar and Titanic are the two highest-grossing films of all time.

You're absolutely right. It's perfect that the hollow, fastidiously manufactured creation that is OBAMA! call Hollywood when the crumbling veneer needs more spackle, sparkles and CGI.

You hit that nail on the head.

Something about those pictures said it all, for me. Especially since I’m speechless over this crap.

It’s really hard to imagine that there are not guys out there with more of value to offer than Cameron, however, I suspect Obama knows that his base loves this guy.

James Cameron’s a smart guy - he might have something to offer. Probably more than most of the liberals... especially those in Washington.

Well, I plead ignorance on any and all of that. The fact is it DID explode and now we need EXPERTS not lawyers or movie makers to fix it.

“is considered an expert on underwater filming and remote vehicle technologies. ”
AMAZING. BP better call him right away. If they could just get a remote vehicle down there, they could plug the “leak”.
Or maybe they could go down and take some film so we could see what is wrong down there.
I’m sure BP has never thought of those things; thanks for the offer Mr Cameron.

FUBAR. Totally. No shite. Expert in underwater filming, you idiots, not underwater oil well capping. Jeez.

I suspect that much of the stories of him designing devices is a case of specifying features and letting engineers figure out how to make them work. Now that sounds like a couple of architects with whom I'm acquainted.

LOL.. what’s he gonna do? Direct the oil to flow towards the one with his awesome god-like powers?

Oh my, I thought this was satire.
These people really do not know reality from fantasy or entertainment anymore. Well, neither do the American people.

If you haven't seen the film, "Wag the Dog" with Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro, please go rent it.
After I viewed "Wag the Dog," I wondered how much "nooze" on TV is real, or how much is possibly produced on a sound stage and then uploaded to Tel Star.
