Help, what does his mean? Please say they are finally stopping the spill.
Is that a Makita?
They have to cut off the riser pipe to attach the LMRP rack and sipon off the spill.
All I get is pixxelating, shucky darn I’d like to watch.
Nah government supplied cheap knock-off purchased from Harbor Freight.
It just looks like a bad trip I took in 1979.
Gotta do something, elections are coming!!
Otherwise they woudln’t care a bit.
So the live cam is on, but you can’t actually see the GUSH that’s coming!
Looks like they’re cutting the bolts off. When the last one is cut, I suspect we’re going to see some serious $#!+
The riser is the big pipe (21 inch diameter) that comes off the top of the valve stack (the blowout preventer). The riser goes from the sea floor to the drill platform. When the platform sank, the riser fell into the sea and split open. Now they are cutting it clean off at the top of the BOP to attach another pipe which should pick up most of the oil.
.
What are they going to do when visibility goes to zero?
Why can't they thread the pipe and screw on a fitting and a valve??
What are they going to do when visibility goes to zero?
Grope..... haven’t you done that?

Here are some other links. Same view, different websites
It would be cool if you could here the radio chatter of the ROV operators, etc.
I read on TOD that the bent pipe kinked and distorted all the way to the top of the BOP. That’s why the need the rubber boot.
That is cool. They probably don’t have to worry about the blade overheating.
