They were attacked on hitting the deck. They don't appear to be prepared for the violence they were greeted with. Planning should have been better, at the very least the deck should have been cleared with tear gas. These guys appear to have dropped into an angry mob (of peacemakers), arms not at the ready.

Well I think Israel will not be so harmed politically or diplomatically as initially claimed. Now that people can see that the “peace protestors” were really very violent and continued to beat the solider with bats and rods even after he was subdued and knocked down shows this wasn’t entirely a peace mission and that Israel was right about the type of people organizing (Israel claimed the main group were terrorist supporters).

I was thinking about a book I just read very recently... it is C. S. Lewis’ book, “The Problem of Pain.” What comes to my mind from this and so much else that is going on is how everyone is working to effect God’s ultimate purposes. Some of us are working with God to effect His purposes and some are working of their own will and strength and mind, but whether they realize it or not, His purposes are sovereign and will prevail. This is why no matter what befalls us, I maintain my hope because I know how it all works in the end.
