NRA Supports Harry Reid?
NRA Representative
| Richard Smith

I was speaking with the NRA Booth Representative at the May 22/23,2010 Gatlinburg Tennessee Tea Party Convention.
My wife brought up the fact that the NRA was supporting Harry Reid as a 2nd. Amendment advocate. The NRA Rep. said - Hey, we're a single issue organization -thats why.
Harry Reid can't be trusted - I don't trust anything Harry Reid says. The NRA could do better.

That’s why I wadded up the last request from NRA and threw it in the trash. I won’t continue to donate to their causes when they support this jerk.

I think dingy gets re-elected ONLY because of his pro gun record.

The NRA are a single issue nonpartisan organization.
If 0bama were pro gun rights/2nd amendment, they would endorse even him.

Single issue orgs do have a tendency to stick their head in the sand...and they are so easily manipulated, as Reid is manipulating the NRA. They seem to forget that they are just working to put their freedom at the end of the list that the government will come for...when they’ve picked off everyone else one by one, they will come for your freedom too and there’ll be no one left to stand with you.
To: TNoldman
They’ve been effective because they focus like a laser beam on their one issue.

An NRA endorsement is worthless.

NRA’s Wayne LaPierre was chumming things up with Harry Reid at the same time the TEA Party held its rally in Searchlight NV.

Hey, we're a single issue organization And therein lies the reason the NRA (I'm a member) sometimes gives me heartburn. Our Constitution is not single issue.

Harry Reid supports anti-gun judges, organizations and legislation all the time.

This is why I didn’t join the NRA except for the “free trial” they had.

And what, pray tell, has Reid ever done to betray your right to keep and bear arms? The NRA is a gun rights organization and
only a gun rights organization. They don't do abortion, taxes, health care, gays in the military, illegal aliens, or anything else that might be putting a bee in your Republican bonnet.
(BTW: The "R" in NRA stands for "Rifle", not "Republican".)

His pro-gun record?
He doesn’t vote to confirm anti-gun judges?? SO I guess he opposes Kagan?
He doesn’t help fund all sorts of anti-gun organizations across the country?
Please.

Their idiots. Reid supports LEFTWING judges and LEFTWING organizations that fight against gun ownership.
If the NRA doesn’t take this into account then they are not worth supporting.
