The great Lurch has spoken! Us dumb rubes in flyover country just don't appreciate the benefits of socialism yet.

Having come in a close second in the annual Steve Martin Look-A-Like Contest, John Kerry drowns his sorrows with a bevy of petulant penis straw-sipping pretties.

"I think there's a comprehension gap,"And, he displays a breath-taking condescension gap.
Pompous gasbag.

Elitist assholes in power think they really do know better.
As far as I’m concerned, Kerry’s “on the list”... of elitists that have to be dealt with.

To a nuanced extent, he is correct - there is a
comprehension gap and a
reality disconnect between people who keep voting for ever increasing benefits to themselves and people who must pay for it... Elected officials in Washington just reflect it.
But Washington should watch at least one of those "debt reduction" seminars they often show on TV, including PBS (so they can't miss it) and heed their advice...
On those shows they always talk about how to reduce the spending, and somehow I never heard this type of advice: "All you have to do is to keep spending and just charge more for your services, especially the people who don't use your services, and you will have surpluses instead of the deficits and debt"...
Yet this is exactly what John Kerry seems to be advising us, talking about comprehension gap.

it is truly amazing! unemployment is at 10%... taxes are up... private sector wages are down... and the government is taking money from one group and handing it to another.
he is right, times are tough... and when times are tough, people are less inclined to take money from their wallet and pay for someone else’s home/meal... when they themselves are in danger of starving or losing their home
and now we see them screw up the gulf, thereby hose industry, by not dealing with it properly (i personally think they had a hand in the event itself... timing and political gain are waaay to convenient)
of course, the only way to insure we never have to deal with progressives again is to allow them to do what they want... show it to be the total failure it is... and hope we survive long enough to take it back.

Didn’t John Kerry serve in Vietnam? I mean, as opposed to Richard Blumenthal?
Was John Kerry the one who was sent by Nixon into Cambodia on Christmas Day, 1968, before Nixon took office?

“his party and President Obama are doing a ship-shape job?”...WTF?
More like a shi!-shape job you asshat!

But he said that the D.C.-directed attacks are hypocritical, since many of those attacking Washington spending presumably want to keep their Social Security and Medicare and want Washington to play a big role in the Gulf Oil cleanup."Actually, John, no. Give me back what I paid into Medicare and Social Security over my lifetime and let me invest it.
And as to the oil spill, it's clear the feds don't have a clue what to do about that. Best they just keep their nose out of it.
