An animal welfare group said Tuesday that a graphic video it secretly recorded shows workers at a dairy farm beating cows with crowbars, stabbing them with pitchforks and punching them in their heads.
The video was recorded in an undercover investigation at Conklin Dairy Farms Inc., said Mercy For Animals, a not-for-profit group that publicizes what it calls cruel practices in the dairy, meat and egg industries and promotes a vegan diet.

The Plain City dairy farm targeted in an undercover video released by Mercy for Animals (MFA) this week responded swiftly to animal abuses depicted in the footage. A spokesman for the farm confirmed the employee prominently featured willfully abusing animals was fired immediately Wednesday morning following the video's release. "As fourth-generation farmers, our family takes the care of our cows and calves very seriously," the Conklin statement said. "We take equally seriously the allegations that have been made about our farm operation and the mistreatment of our animals."
Detailing the farm's actions in the hours following MFA's release of footage it claimed to have obtained over a four week period on the Union County farm, a Conklin statement read: "We have conducted an initial review of the video that the activist group has released. The video shows animal care that is clearly inconsistent with the high standards we set for our farm and its workers, and we find the specific mistreatment shown on the video to be reprehensible and unacceptable."
In explaining the immediate termination of the employee found committing the abuses shown in the video, Conklin said "We will not condone animal abuse on our farm. We have launched our own internal investigation into this matter and will be conducting interviews with everyone on our farm who works with our animals."
"We are cooperating fully with law enforcement authorities overseeing this situation. Further, our farm will institute immediate retraining of all those who remain on the farm and who work with our animals." Sources within the industry say a criminal investigation is currently underway, but the Union County Prosecuting Attorney has yet to make a formal public statement on the issue.
Conklin reiterated their commitment to animal welfare by stating, "The trust of our customers in the way we operate our farm, care for our herds and produce quality, safe milk is of critical importance to us, and we will work to maintain that trust as we address this issue."

What I would like to know is if the guy they fired for animal cruelty is a member of, or was otherwise paid by, the enviro/animalrights-commies for the part he played in the video.

Ah... so it WAS just one guy? It wasn’t widespread, systemic abuse, and it wasn’t condoned by the owner?

Now maybe they can get to the bottom of the photography, and whether or not the sadist was associated with, or goaded by, the animal rights bunch.

I demand these vegans boycott all meat and dairy products until something is done about this.
"Making meat" isn't pretty, but it isn't that sadistic either.
Just like one bad cop doesn't indict all law enforcement, one or two barbarians working one farm isn't either.

These guys abusing animals are to farmers what the Abu Ghraib photo crew was to soldiers.
The only problem with all of this, of course, is that in relation to what we’re looking at, it’s completely irrelevant. You may have a knee-jerk reaction all you want based on your emotional take on animals or animals-rights-groups: at the end of the day it’s a criminal investigation.
The point is, the enviro-commies have a long history of staging animal cruelty to further their globalist watermellon (green on the outside, red on the inside) revolution. As such, whenever an enviro-commie group puts out one of these videos, you can never, ever take them at face value. Indeed, there is a very good chance that the animal abuser in the video was put up to it and/or paid for his services by the very revolutionary nutjobs who put out the video in the first place!

Nothing environmental wackos do would surprise me. My first reaction was, “Why would you do that to your own cows?”
I didn’t bother to watch it. The description is odd enough and I question why anyone would do such a thing. Then again, some idiots do worse to children.
Your first reaction was the absolute correct reaction! It’s sad that so many still fall for enviro-commie propaganda. They are falling for a new version of the Big Lie. Namely, they can’t imagine themselves ever doing something so terrible to animals for political gain, so they assume nobody else would ether. Big mistake.
