America, House Republicans want your help.

In an effort to shed its image as a "party of no" with few original ideas to challenge the Democrat-controlled Congress and White House, House Republicans on Tuesday will begin a campaign to ask the general public for input in drafting their next agenda.

The nationwide "America Speaking Out" campaign seeks to capitalize on growing voter frustration of the Obama administration and the Democratic Congress. Organizers say they welcome ideas from all voters, regardless of party affiliation.

"American Speaking Out is an effort to open the back rooms and closed doors that have defined Congress and allow Americans to be a part of drafting a governing agenda from the start," the outline says.

"Congressional Republicans have offered positive alternatives to the misguided policies pursued by Washington Democrats. But we recognize the American people are in charge, and constructing a governing agenda must begin with the people."

The campaign will solicit public input via an online forum at www.AmericaSpeakingOut.com,and town hall meetings, according to an outline obtained from a senior House Republican aide.

"We expect it will generate a great deal of interest, a great deal of participation around the country," said House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence of Indiana. Mr. Pence, a project organizer, declined to discuss details until the campaign is officially unveiled at the Newseum in Washington.

The campaign's mission to tap into the "growing disconnect between the priorities of the American public and the agenda that is debated in Washington" echoes the grass-roots "tea party" movement

Here’s a radical idea. What if the Republican party read the Constitution and followed some of the principles highlighted there? They could campaign on being “representatives” instead of “we promise to slow the slide into communism a little bit”.

These people are beyond belief.

How about starting with creating Financial Reform bill draft of 10 pages or less, reforming and phasing out Too Big To Fail Fannie, Freddie and abolishing or severely restructuring FHA and repealing all CRA conditions on mandatory lending to those who cannot afford the mortgages or other loans, i.e. reining in the government-sponsored or government-owned institutions and government rules and regulations which have been primarily responsible for recent real-estate and related financial bubbles..?

Then introduce it to public and in Congress and unanimously vote for it (even if Democrats won’t allow to bring it to the floor for a formal vote) and stand for it as an alternative for huge, loopholes-ridden and harmful finreg bill (which is driving the markets nuts), and become a Party of Yes to smaller, more sensible and accountable government... and see their popular and political support skyrocket.

How about the novel concept of eliminating those programs and agencies that do not comply with the enumerated powers specifically listed Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution! Those wild and wacky guys known as our founding fathers had this crazy idea of a limited federal government by instilling those enumerated powers in the Constitution.

Seeking ideas from the public....heh heh heh.

How about just attending a TEA party and reading the freakin' signs...that should give them some remote idea at what people are pissed about, and what they want.

The RINO arm of the GOP are - face it - scared $#!+less of the democrats. They are so afraid the dems will call them a name, or say something negative about them, they have to double up on the "Depends" every morning.

People are NOT looking for a "gimmick"...we've got one of those in the White House now. The only "idea" the GOP needs is called "The Constitution of the United States of America".

While most of us were proud when they were called "The party of 'NO'", the RINO sissies were acting like shrinking violets trying to run away from it.

The RINO's spend half their time figuring out how to please the democrats and the other half hiding from the lamestream press.

Meanwhile, those of us who are conservative are looking for a leader, a fearless leader...like the new Governor of New Jersey, or like the Governor of Arizona, or the former Governor of Alaska. People who aren't afraid to say what they think and what they believe in.

Every one of them who try and appease the black caucus, code pink, the gay lobby, NAMBLA, whacko environuts, or any other radical group, are marked off my radar. They are RINO's through and through. This nation is about the people, not fringe, special-interest groups.

The tail needs to quit wagging the dog in this country, or it will surely die. When these special interest groups go against the majority at large, they have shown their desire to go against the grain and NOT participate in America.

So, GOP, join the chia pets and fluff your foiliage, and you will be in the unemployment line after November. November is not just about getting rid of democrats, it's about getting rid of @$$holes who are taking our once brave and free nation and turning it into a third world dictatorship.

So, here's your "idea"...be an American.
