Posted on 05/18/2010 3:15:17 PM PDT by InterceptPoint

There are already a couple of LIVE THREADS covering the overall PA primary election. But I don't see anything out there for the Arkansas, Kentucky and Oregon folks so we are going to post our normal live thread focusing on the Key House Races. In this weeks Primary Elections we see 2 competitive House Races in AR and 9 in PA. Plus there is the Special Election in PA-12 that we have been following. There is nothing looking very competitive to us in OR or KY.

So if you are just interested in how things are going across the board in PA here are the ongoing PA LIVE THREADS"

Speaking of money, looks like the AZ 1% sales tax increase is going through... It was for the chilllldren. Sigh...

Oh well, maybe some of the leftover illegals can help pay to support the state.

As I suspected, the votes were screwed up; they ran all of the totals together in one election, instead of two separate votes. FU, Gleason!

I wonder how soon Gleason will start blaming Bill Russell for Burns loss.

Like you say, he's probably already started and from the way Burns was selected it looks like Gleason wanted a loser. It's time the PA GOP wized up and kicked Gleason out the door, the RATS would love to have him.

Sure, but it just depends on who the Republican is.

Burns never served in the military, that probably cost him 10,000 votes.

Checking in to see how it was going. Finally did a "user" search on you two.

So sorry to see this.....

Gleason should have never been made GOP chairman. Remembering 2006 now and the anger toward him and the party. When in the heck do y'all change chairmanship?

“What is your current rate of sales tax?”

Right now it is 8.1%, soon to be 9.1% for three years after which it will be automatically repealed.

Doesn’t look like it’s going to change.

Even split of the democrat vote.

The question is, Burns won a relatively close Republican primary tonight. Did the republicans who voted against him turn around and vote for him in the special election? After all, if their man had won today, he would have been facing the democrat in the fall. I submit that many of those who voted against Burns in the Republican primary voted against him in the special election. That does not mean they will vote against him in the fall. If they had voted for Burns, it would have been like voting against themselves.

Yikes. It’s already too high. Thankfully, you’ll have it rolled back in 3 years.

They're limousine libs! They didn't earn their money.

Exactly! I have known them all my life. Their idea of poor and mine are not exactly the same thing. If I need to fly somewhere I buy a plane ticket, they call NetJets.

Hiya, Justa. Should have pinged you. For sure Gleason has to go if the PA GOP ever is going to make some appreciable gains. Politically he’s no different than Murtha, it’s having the power to pad your pockets or ego.

Well, that’s true. The percentages still seem to be see-sawing back and forth. Looks to me like the big counties came in first and now it’s the smaller ones. Can’t say for sure but one would think that would be to the advantage of the challenger. I guess we’ll see pretty soon.
