The question is, Burns won a relatively close Republican primary tonight. Did the republicans who voted against him turn around and vote for him in the special election? After all, if their man had won today, he would have been facing the democrat in the fall. I submit that many of those who voted against Burns in the Republican primary voted against him in the special election. That does not mean they will vote against him in the fall. If they had voted for Burns, it would have been like voting against themselves.

Nonsense. Republicans didn’t vote against Burns in the special election, although I’m sure we’ll hear him or his handlers try to spin his loss that way. Burns ran a crappy campaign, that’s why he lost.
