There are already a couple of LIVE THREADS covering the overall PA primary election. But I don't see anything out there for the Arkansas, Kentucky and Oregon folks so we are going to post our normal live thread focusing on the Key House Races. In this weeks Primary Elections we see 2 competitive House Races in AR and 9 in PA. Plus there is the Special Election in PA-12 that we have been following. There is nothing looking very competitive to us in OR or KY.

So if you are just interested in how things are going across the board in PA here are the ongoing PA LIVE THREADS"

Obama has to be smiling about keeping the Murtha seat.

Dems win by 12.5 percent , if this holds up.

Not even close.

I’m inclined to agree with you that it will be closer than it is now.

All the polls in the past couple of months have given either candidate no more than a 6 point lead. Most have shown the race to be within the margin of error. If this turns out to be a trounce, the pollsters are going to have a triple egg omelet on their faces.

He will not pull it out running as an Indie. There are enough real Republicans in this state to give it to Toomey and the Democrat vote will split.

I’m very disappointed in Americans, who the heck stays home from voting because of rain? that’s an outrageous excuse. What the heck is it going to take for idiotic Americans to get off their butts and vote? we have high unemployment, a crappy economy and terrorism is rearing it’s head again.

Blanche Lincoln took an early lead among ballots cast in advance of Tuesday’s primary as she sought the Democratic nomination in a bitter, nationally watched race with the state’s lieutenant governor, Bill Halter.

Early returns showed Lincoln with 47 percent to Halter’s 40 percent of ballots in the 1 percent of precincts counted. Those votes came primarily from people who cast absentee or early ballots in the two-week run-up to the election.

Burns? Oh, It Hurts Right Now.

May 18, 2010 9:54 PM By Jim Geraghty
We may be on the verge of a great disappointment for Republicans. While no one doubted that the demographic challenge facing Republican Tim Burns in Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional district, a variety of factors appeared to be working in his favor: the national mood, the usual GOP advantages in a special election, an advantage in fundraising, the broad support of national conservative groups, and polling that indicated a small but regular lead.

Tonight, Burns has not yet led Democrat Mark Critz; Critz is overperforming Obama – who narrowly lost the district – in most of the precincts that have reported. Critz, in fact, is running ahead of John Murtha’s numbers in 2008 in certain precincts.

The NRCC, and Republicans nationwide, expected a great deal more from Tim Burns; at the very least, the stage was set for him to outperform all Republicans running for the House in this district in recent memory. The remaining precincts should be favorable to Burns, but the numbers are looking very tough at this point in the evening.

LOL: That was not rain drops in PA today, but tear drops coming from Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter! FNC is reporting that the AP calls it for Sestak the (D) opponent of Specter.
