Its difficult to overstate the degree of insanity coming from Alan Grayson in Floridas eighth Congressional district.
Grayson has used his Congressional office as a platform for extremist demagoguery, insulting his own constituents when they tried to organize against him and actually characterizing Republicans as murderers. He has remained totally unresponsive to his constituents by sneaking up on them in town hall meetings. He has gotten away with it by self-funding his campaigns from his $31 million net worth, which he made by prosecuting American contractors serving in the Iraq war.
The biggest question is why Grayson got elected in the first place, and why it seems that he actually has a chance to get re-elected this coming November. The answer to the first question is easy: he was first elected as a freshman Congressman two years ago because his constituents didnt know his true colors, and enjoyed the fruits of the Obama electoral wave of 2008. The Republican that ran against him in 2008 was underfunded and suffered from a massive Democratic voter registration advantage.

Look at Murtha's district. He out and out called them stupid and dangerous and they voted him in again until Satan called.

The Republican that ran against him in 2008 was underfunded and suffered from a massive Democratic voter registration advantage. This is my district and Grayson (the low-life, mobster lawyer pos) is my congressman. I have to disagree with a lot of what the article says. First of all, Grayson's opponent (Keller) lost because he decided to not back President Bush and the surge in Iraq. Keller even put out that letter and made a big deal out of it.
The other reason Grayson won was the piggy back affect on obama's coattails/kid vote/dumb soccer-mom vote/welfare/illegal-acorn vote.

It amazes me why America keeps electing "lawyers" to make and pass "laws". That is like putting the fox in charge of the henhouse.
There are just too many lawyers in Congress, I would like to see it limited to no more than 10% lawyers - just enough to act as a "consultancy" and not enough for an overpowering majority.
A lot of basically "power hungry" people go into law as prelude to politics, and it should not be a stepping stone to power. Power grabbers seem to intrinsically narcissistic and comfortable with the lies necessary to maintain their facade. We don't need (any more of) this kind in our government.
NO MORE LAWYERS in congress

Of all the obnoxious Dem congressmen I’d like to see defeated in November, Grayson is number one. Because he above all other Dem congressidiots (except for Pelosi) symbolizes the socialist mindset of the Obama admin. Defeating him would really make the Great Spreader squirm.

AMEN...if the President of the United States is to be the “Commander-in-Chief” of the military, it follows that s/he should have some understanding of the military, as should members of Congress.
