Barack Obama's brief visit to New York City this week will be remembered for bumbles that would make Chevy Chase proud.
The 44th president of the United States made a stop in the Big Apple on his way back to the White House from an earlier visit to Buffalo. He was speaker at a high-priced Democratic fundraiser at the St. Regis Hotel.
As is customary, a press contingent awaited Air Force One at JFK airport. There the glitches began.
Normally, members of the press apply for access two days in advance.
For some unexplained reason, the White House Media Affairs Office never confirmed credentials, leaving many reporters to call Washington to ascertain the status of their requests.
The last-minute snafu had an impact.
As Air Force One touched down at JFK, the president of the United States was greeted by only three members of the press, two freelance photographers and WorldNetDaily.
A less than impressed commander-in-chief decided to ignore the assembled media and a new mother with a small baby waiting to be "kissed." Obama stared at the group, hooked a hard right turn and then sprinted solo into Marine One.
The baby, too, was unimpressed. He was given a bottle of milk.
Then en route to Manhattan, members of the Obama advance team were questioned about whether Obama would meet Mayor Michael Bloomberg and New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly. Both were concerned about federal aid cuts recently announced by the Department of Homeland Security.
Obama team members shrugged their shoulders proclaiming they "knew nothing" about any Bloomberg-Kelly meeting.

ROFLMFWCAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best one I've seen in a long time! You owe me a new, coffee-proof flatscreen. Priceless!
;-/
Now we can better understand the little temper fit he had yesterday about the oil spill. Bad week for the Narcissist in Chief.
Guess they will need to add another plane to the mix, one to carry the fake Roman set and the cut out crowd. We can call it ‘Instant Hope & Change’.
Just try to imagine how many passengers in circling planes, how many passengers in terminals on delayed flights, how many airline personnel, etc were pissed when The One decided to alight at JFK! Air space has to be cleared for a good while surrounding a presidential visit.
This man is a megaloegomaniac.
“The president finally getting the press he deserves.”
I personally would love for this to happen wherever he goes. He truly deserves to be shunned.
With any luck he could fall and break his mouth. I'm getting tired of hearing this arrogant pos.
The press assumes these were “glitches,” but Obama simply doesn’t give a damn about talking to them. He doesn’t need them anymore.
He also simply doesn’t give a damn about Bloomberg and the NY police chief.
And it’s Saturday so the msm feels free to attack O knowing most won’t see or hear about their comments.
That's what I think.
I have heard that his closest staff are exhausted (Emmanuel, Axelrod, etc) and that quickly becomes a morale killer for those below.
At the beginning of low morale is a reduction in energy. As it matures, it becomes anger and antagonism.
In no way is Barry a leader. He is the brain fart of an advertising exec, a poster boy, a photo op...but not a leader.
I remember reading again this week about Obama's penchant for doing zero work while taking credit for the effort of others (kind of the anti-Reagan)...that kind of character wears out one's welcome very quickly among rank and file staffers.
I suspect we will see greater and greater evidence of staff sabotage in his administration until it collapses under the weight of his giant, yet completely undeserved ego.
By the time Obama returned to Air Force One, only a freelance photographer for the AP remained on the high-rise platform.
"I'm not even here to photograph Obama. I just needed to be here in case he fell and broke his leg," he confessed.
Always have obsessive thoughts of Obama missing that first step; as he exits Air Force One (and then jounces down the steps; arms angled in front of him; hands clearly - determinedly - positioned far and away from stair railings.)
Don't want him permanently disabled, mind you. . .just long enough; for his term to expire.
Think this must be a growing 'collective dream' and even this photographer has now picked up on it.
My aged but very politically involved mother, who still has time (or stomach) for tv, is also waiting for him to fall or trip. One of the things that really makes her angry is his arrogance on the AF1 stairs.
[Insert image of 0bama walking off the end of the stairs under the impression he's entering the new invisible stealth Air Force One...]
nobama needs shunned, ignored, avoided, ridiculed and criticized. He is a fool and destroyer of historic proportions. Woe be to those asshats and moonbats who voted for this crafty, corrupt clown.
LMAO!!!!!
Excellent comment!
Thanks for the hearty laugh!
First thing I have enjoyed from AP for a loooong time...LOL
It's related to the urge that some people have to be on TV.
Photographed in the presence of a famous person makes you famous, too. Kinda...
Somewhere, there is a hole in their souls.
