CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Sarah Palin says President Barack Obama and his Democratic allies would ban guns and ammunition if they could get away with it.

The former Alaska governor said during a speech Friday before the National Rifle Association that political backlash is the only thing stopping Obama from gutting the Second Amendment.

He does not have a problem with people keeping and bearing arms. And the president does not have the power to ban weapons. That would be congress. And they are not going to do that.

You’ve also done the same thing as the regime has done in trying to refute the death panels -
conflated the unrelated issues of end of life counseling with the logically NECESSARY rationing boards.

Healthcare resources are economically “scarce” resources,
and who gets what has to be determined by something,
right now it’s prices. Under single payer, it’s a rationing board, or death panel, if the treatment you need to live is denied by this board.

No I was not. And again, Reagain endorsed doing this also..as did George W. That does not even resemble banning guns in households.

Read the title again.

And where would you get the idea that he WOULDN’T want to eliminate privately owned firearms?

Does he or does he not support the UN small arms treaty?

Nope..no such thing as a death panel. End of life counseling has been around forever. It is not now nor will it ever be a death panel.

Where do you get the idea he is against bearing arms? He has never said that. Ever.

Reading comprehension problem? Or intensionally obtuse.

The rationing/death panels are NOT related to end of life counseling.

Read that again and DO NOT conflate the argument, like the 0bama apologists in the MSM.

People said the same about Clinton for eight years. It was never true. Neither have any interest in taking our guns...this is bunk.

During a speech while Senator, Obama said he would like to end private ownership of firearms in the U.S.

Take a good look at Illinois, particularly Chicago. That's how the world looks when ran by Obama's people.

OK, so a rationing panel that determines whether you get lifesaving treatment or not is not a death panel.
Dr Sowell calls that “verbal virtuosity”, ie, lying.

For my part, I’m pretty sure that ‘assault weapons’ takes a clear form in your mind. I bet it does in most peoples’. What I also figure is that it is not really a well-defined term, because EVERY GUN IS AN ASSAULT WEAPON!!!!

I’m sure that, there being so many literate lawyers out there, if the intent really were to try to legally isolate particularly effective weapons, then a much better term would have been invented.

Of course, the point always was that the government should be the only entity to have really effective weapons. We fear the government as a result.

If I could afford them, I’d have some pretty effective weapons, now that it looks like so many powerful people seem so interested in what weapons people have. I hope a lot of good people are having similar thoughts.

It’s coming. First chance he gets a serious gun related problem and he will require every gun in the US to register. Then he will send his gestapo out to pick them up. I wouldn’t doubt this communists would do anything to keep in power. This as@ is acting like he won the lottery.

Obviously. But that's not what Palin said. She said Obama would if he could get away with it. ...which is an opinion. And given Obama's ultra-leftist authoritarian politics, a quite reasonable one.
