Yes and no.

Some things I planted early (seeds) I know probably died in the several snow/hail storms.

I lost a new apple tree I was trying this year: Sweet Sixteen.

I lost the new asparagus I was trying this year, too.

As for all the other gardens, all is well and the transplants (pines and poplars) are aok.

The other new pines are fine too.

Did you lose anything this spring?

My Mom’s rhubarb bush is all green and growing. She makes rhubarb jam with it every year. She has tomatoes started inside. Trees are starting to bud and she said that seems to be a sign that nights below freezing are done. So the days of flowers going out during the day and coming in at night should just about be done.

She will be able to put the tomatoes out probably this week. She has cages and said the front porch seems to be the best growing place. She can no longer get up and down, so gardening is very limited.
