“Cinco De Mayo is not the Mexican independence day and gets little recognition in Mexico.”
Wasn’t the faux “holiday” started by Bennigans in conjunction with some beer company to create a day to drink even more than usual? I thought I heard/read that somewhere.

Jim Thompson is the former Illinois Governor who is as corrupt as the day is long. He is also Pro-illegal alien.

Remember...Cinco de Mayo is “Loan Default Day,” a day celebrating Mexicans’ shooting those who came to collect on loans they stopped paying off.

Thanks for the post kristinn. I emailed it off to many on my email list.
What is incredible to me is the demand for respect by those people where absolutely none is offered by them as they heartily consume all the blessed gifts of Americanism that Americans worked so damned hard to achieve.
So many of the Mexican people have become citizens of the USA legally, and have been a part of those blessings achieved, so why in the Hell can’t those that scream for respect gain that respect as so many others of Mexican heritage have, legally.
Somewhere along the line something got screwed up.

I took down my Old Glory on the day our Governor Goodhair (TX) decreed that all American flags in TX were to be lowered in honor of Ted (aka “the swimmer”) Kennedy. I hoisted the Gadsen flag that day, and it will remain there until the obammy is out of office.
I’ll wear a flag t-shirt, though.

That’s a great idea! I have a fresh flag and a new flagpole all ready to hang. I’ll make sure it’s up by Wednesday.
I’ll add more ‘flair’ to my apron at work...I have a pretty, sparkly American flag pin I can add. :)
