The Talk Shows
Sunday, May 9th, 2010
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): John Brennan, President Barack Obama's homeland security and counterterrorism adviser; Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn.; Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Attorney General Eric Holder.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Brennan; Sens. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., and Richard Shelby, R-Ala.; Adm. Thad Allen, commandant of the Coast Guard.
THIS WEEK (ABC):Holder; former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Brennan; Shelby; Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla.
Note to David Gregory: You over rehearsed with Holder and it is showing.
Brennan defends Enemies of the USA saying they
are protected by SCOTUS. They have “rights”.
They (not Americans) are protected by the Constitution.
They (not Americans) are protected by the Obama administration.
Brennan is obviously hoping to be a lawyer for
al Qaeda after he leaves his position.
Brennan arguing with Wallace on NYC based trial of KSM.
Wallace says it ain’t gonna happen, why are you continuing to insist?
LOL. No, Holder, it’s not the “Wars of Law”, it’s the Law of War.
FNS
Wallace asks whether the massive drop on Wall Street was the result of a cyber attack. [First I’ve heard of that speculation.]
Brennen responds that there is no indication of that [cyber attack].
Brennan is a career CIA employee. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Holder: Gitmo is a recruiting tool.
They honestly think people believe this stuff.
So if KSM is aquitted, Holder will go after him for unpaid parking tickets.
Lieberman up, contradicting Brennen, “We were lucky, we didn’t prevent the attack” Good work on quickly apprehending the terrorist.
Wallace asking about Shazzad being questioned for four hours before being Mirandized.
Happy Mother’s Day!
interesting tidbit here: (many in the intelligence community don’t like Brennan AT ALL)
“Others with ties to the intelligence community think Brennan who works in closer proximity to White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel than any other intelligence official is behind the push to fight back against political attacks on White House counterterrorism policy.
“There is tension between the intelligence community and Brennan,” a Republican member of Congress who has long worked on intelligence issues told POLITICO. “They just feel that he is trying to micromanage, and also playing somewhat of a political role.”

I should have counted the number of times Holder has said we are examining all of our options.
FNS
Lieberman praises Homeland Security, then says that they did NOT prevent the Times Square attack.
King complains that the Admin were putting out too much information, much of which should have been classified, about the TS bomber.
[We have to be thankful for incompetent terrorists who use shoddy equipment. Otherwise, the death count would be much higher.]
Jake Tapper tells Rudy mob is more dangerous/more successful than a terror attack, and they have more rights than terrorists.
I think you are correct. I still remember some NYC idiot, after 9-11, saying on camera that she could not imagine what America would do without NYC.
I don't want anything to happen to any of our cities, but the residents of those same cities keep voting for the idiots that will hasten their downfall.
That is ridiculous, unless he's talking about the mob in the white house.
Saw the sideline about Senator Bennett being in tears because he lost the nomination. Sounds like he would be ready for a party change, because it’s okay for a Democrat to get in touch with his feminine side. Besides, 3 terms and he wants to keep going back? He’e been there long enough. It’s time for another citizen to be a legislator for a few years, then return to the real world.
Huh?? Is he referring to ALL citizens or naturalized ones??
