Part of what I used to do twenty-five years ago involved following people on the streets of NYC. The key to staying un-noticed is this...change colors and change profiles. I had a reversible jacket that was tan on one side dark on the other. I carried a Irish cap or a baseball hat tucked out of sight. I carried shades and regular eye-glasses (non-prescription).

This gave me a dozen different looks in a flash...

Brown jacket - glasses - hat.

Brown jacket - no glasses - no hat.

Tan jacket - shades - no hat.

Tan jacket - hat - no glasses.....

I also got pretty good at changing my height and walk.

Did you limp sometimes?

Hubby did that in the supermarket once. Turned the corner and there was an old man with a REAL limp. I laughed out loud...and hubby kept limping!!
