In a move likely to raise tensions between the two Churches, a group of Church of England bishops met last week with advisers of Pope Benedict XVI to set in motion steps that would allow priests to convert to Catholicism en masse. They are set to resign their orders in opposition to the introduction of women bishops and to lead an exodus of Anglican clerics to the Catholic Church despite Dr Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, urging them not to leave.

They should wait a little bit longer...
When a man is the head of your church there is bound to be trouble.
This can also help pull Catholicism out of it's current demonetization, It can stress the family values the Anglican clergy have and bring the catholic clergy back to its moral compass.

Their "tradition" (specifically: liturgy) is all they will retain of anything non-congruent with Rome. And even that will be altered (but for their sake hopefully by somebody with a better ear than whomever developed the Anglican Use rite). I'm not saying at all that their move is a Bad Thing, but from what I hear the particulars are not being very accurately reported.

Honestly, it’s my experience among the new evangelical Anglican ACNA (CANA, AMiA, etc) types in the USA, that a majority quietly reject women in the priesthood or higher as well. The primary advocates of WO are baby-boomer types who never quite got over their indiscreet youthful rebellions...
