I will not insult this nation by using it's most important and beloved symbol as a form of petty political protest.

I do not ask that others fly their flag upside down as an insult to this nation, nor do I believe that the article is insinuating such an act. Rather, the purpose of flying one flag upside down is to open the eyes of those who do not realize the gravity of the situation we are in.

Do you not agree that we are now occupied by a regime that is bent on destroying the very fabric of this Republic?

No sir, I do not disrespect this nation nor it's flag of which I and my ancestors have proudly fought and offered our lives for. My grandfather by the way died for the honor to fight against such fascist dictators as Obama desires to be.

If we do not stand up against those who would destroy us from within by protesting in any fashion we see fit, then we do not deserve the right to fly the flag.

No sir, I will do not insult those who will not fly their flag at half mast as you would those who do.

So please, THOSE OF YOU WHO WILL NOT, do not insult those of us who would.

I don't believe I've offered any insults to any such citizen.

My disdain is reserved for a man in an Oval Office who seems to be offended by the very people who protect this nation, as well as a majority of it's citizens.

I wrote this article a few Months ago, but I recently rewrote it so that it would be more updated for my new blog at the Enterprise Record Newspaper. I was not going to ping my list on it, but Tom Hawks pinged me that he posted it on FR. There was no insult in what I posted.

If you were insulted or offended in what I wrote as my comment, that is your problem.

I will raise the Flag in the face of danger, not lower it.

I understand perfectly well what our nation is faced with and the Flag is a symbol of our perseverance in our just cause. To lower it, is to mourn. To fly it upside down is distress and a call for help, from where will the help come? If retreat is not our goal, then we shall raise the Flag high and press on in our sacred duties.

Do not insult us who choose to fly the Flag, full staff, unfettered, and in a stiff wind.

By the way, I did not mean to personalize that to “I”, it was a rhetorical question.

I did not see any insult to those of you who wish to protest in this manner. Why would you paint those of us you pinged in that manner?

Flying the flag of the United States upside down, or at half mast, as an act of political protest, is NEVER JUSTIFIABLE, EVER!

The mere act of doing so, regardless of your stated reasons, places you in the same category as scum like Bill Ayers. My utter contempt for the walking disaster with delusions godhood that is Barak Obama will never driver me to insult the country by word or deed.

You are using the same tactics as the freakazoid left. I would take a good long hard look before you choose to get in the mud with the likes of them.

Oppose the Democrats, fight them at every turn, drive them from office. But, do not treat the flag, which is second only to the Constitution itself, as an item for petty political protest.
