Sorry but Nancy Pelosi would not become the Vice President. If something happens to both the President and Vice President then she would become President.
Once the office of Vice President becomes vacant by his becoming President or dying or resigning, the President can nominate another Vice President who is confirmed by the House of Representatives, I believe. Go back to Agnew resigning and Ford becoming Vice President for an example.

I remember when the Inquirer many years ago said Rock Hudson was gay. Well I for one did not believe it because I grew up with Doris Day and Rock Hudson and that went against the image I had baout Rock-but guess what he was gay
