CASA?
Cool! Maryland is turning into Texas!
YES!!!!!!!!
I agree.
The states that are really going to be hurting are the ones which DON’T pass measures like this. Any illegals who don’t head back to Mexico will be flooding those states and that just might turn the public tide against them when the citizens of those states are forced to deal with all that comes with a large illegal population.
True - the legislature may make a few changes to the Arizona model. For instance, in Montgomery County you will be detained if you CAN prove you are a citizen. Merely the use of English will be sufficient cause for a LEO to detain you.
Unfortunatly, I think the only thing introducing this bill will accomplish is to energize the Hispanic vote for Martin(The Whiner) O'Malley over Bob Ehrlich for governor.
Hope that it does travel statewide and all get on board...but then this would pressure Bo to move on his own immigration agenda and ramrod it thru to hault these states...he’ll frame it in such a way as to nul and void the states. But I’m not that familiar with states rights from the legalities available the gov. could fight them on.
Regardless this is just another example of the mood of this country being fed up with Bo’s governance.
Exactly. Casa de Maryland ain't gonna let this fly.
Dead in the water in MD. WAY too liberal up there.
As is North Carolina, so VA is sandwiched between two sanctuary states. Border jumpers pack like sardines into NC- and MD-licensed vehicles and make the trek here every weekend to VA to hit the flea markets.
“Dead in the water in MD. WAY too liberal up there.”
Probably true.
However, by that logic, Proposition 8 in CA should have failed miserably. The 0bama ticket and the liberal leanings of the state in general should have guaranteed success for opponents.
There may be a significant number of constituents of some elected liberals who are anti-illegal immigration.
The Feds want to ruin the sovereignty of our country. This is a States right to protect its soil from invasion.
He IS going to cross out the word ‘Arizona’ and write in the word ‘Maryland’ in red crayon before introducing it, I hope.
Well you’re south of the Mason-Dixon Line, so that’s a START at least...
;-)
We're gonna have to do this to make that happen.
McDonough is great. He drives in local parades with “speak English” plastered on his car.

Trying to get one in Texas. They’re already coming here from other states with tougher policies.
Living in MD I must say this is a Freak state. The libs and dims are everywhere all thew time. However, it is good to introduce this because there are many frustrated conservatives living here. Because of all the government workers and retired government workers they are overwhelmed usually. This state is run by the inmates of the asylum. Yi9kjes...why am I living here?!?!?!
Takoma Park? Silver Spring?
He's speaking of CASA Maryland, the local illegal immigrant advocacy group. Very influential in PG and Montgomery counties...
the infowarrior
Yes. The STATE-FUNDED advocacy group for illegal aliens in MD.
