Is Glenn losing his edge? Maybe not.
Fox News' Glenn Beck might be a one-man $32 million media empire (books, radio shows, tours and more!) but what's going on with his marquee Fox News show?
The Los Angeles Times' Joe Flint reports that News Corp.-owned Fox News cable news ratings are still high above the competition. But Glenn Beck's total number of viewers are down by almost 30%, from 2.9 million in January to 2.1 million in April.
Glenn might not be the rising ratings juggernaut month to month, like he has always been. But he's still a powerhouse in the 5 p.m. timeslot. As Joe writes, "the decline in his audience has hardly made a dent on the lead he enjoys for his 5 p.m. festival of emotions. His rivals should hold off a little on popping the Champagne."

It’s cause we’re exhausted! Everyday there is another assault on our freedom and liberty. Sometimes you just have to turn it off for a day or two. And yes, it is Spring and I’m trying to remodel my house. I mean where else can I put my money?
It’s kind of hard to watch TV and knock on doors for the primary. Getting active is the prescription and many of us are now very active. I for myself I am knocking on doors for the primary. And yes I know of others that are also working hard this season.
He had a great show today. Yesterday’s was pretty good too.
I watched Beck off and on even when he was on CNN. Never been my favorite. When the dem dummies started trying to get him fired, and caused him to loose sponsers, I starting making sure to turn on the Tv everyday for his show.
I do think sometimes he sounds more like chicken little than a newsman, but he is providing some great investigative work that is not being done anywhere else. When he starts whining & stuff I just go back to my reading until he gets back to the substance of the subjects.
What he has been documenting is scary. The only answer I can come up with is to get people in your neighborhood and church that you respect and trust -honorable and trustworthy and convince them to become candidates. We have to vote out the crooks, and replace them with honest patriotic citizens who have no desire to stay in Washington DC.
This has been a ridiculously long and crappy winter, and now that it is spring, I am out more, paying less attention to the corrupto-crats in DC, and the components of the media that inform me of their venal and criminal doings.
By the heat of summer I will be back and ready for blood going into November and Becks ratings will go back up.
The rest of the ratings that are down are down for good. Larry King isn’t going to come back in the summer or fall, nor Olberman and the rest of the “progressive” nutjobs. Their audience will fall to the base level of the hard core koolaid drinkers and communists and stay there until they die.
My theory.

I don’t think so. I think he is just giving some wise advise. Doesn’t mean you go build yourself a bunker, but if you don’t have at least a little food in the house you’re very foolish IMHO.

I had been tuning in and watching the show for a week or two, when he spent an hour hammering military spending, saying we needed to cut everything to get the budget back in balance.
Last time I tuned in...
Glen, that was a subliminal viewpoint. It plays right into the hands of a guy like Obama, who will spend you into the poor house to pay for all his hand-outs, but will never see much cause for keeping our military strong.

Agreed. Sometimes, after listening to Mark Levin I'm ready to start the revolution. I can't do it day-after-day.
He and Ann Coulter both waste their opportunities by horsing around with sarcasm and verbal feinting when they should be patiently explaining what they mean in straightforward, clear, concise terms. If they are the best we've got on tv, we're still in deep dudu.
The “It’s not Right vs. Left” crap began to lose me. Then the shallow, fact-free bashing of the Birthers. Then the hate-on for Fr. Coughlin—whom Beck slanders repeatedly.
He does some great stuff. But Mark Levin is dead-on: Beck is self-educated, and very partially-educated.
Absolutely. I fear for his life especially after this week.
I totally agree with all you said, all the anti-Glenn comments are quite unbelievable. Many don’t even watch him much, if at all any more, yet criticize away. I don’t care for some of Glenn’s opinions or beliefs but on this criminal thuggery going on he has my full attention.
It’s truly frightening what he is exposing this week and I too fear for his life.
It’s also amazing that no other news show, Fox or otherwise, is following up with this story, this criminal scam being perpetrated upon us.
Why is no one backing Glenn up???? Where’s “Mr. Looking Out for You” O’Reilly even???
