The SWAT Team was called in today at the Quincy Tea Party Rally. Obama was speaking at the convention center this afternoon. Unreal.
Pretty close to the picture I remember seeing... Heck, the memory I have may have even been from some movie... In any case, it was a girl offering the flower - not putting it in the barrel of the guns...
It MAY have been during the “Orange Revolution” in Ukraine a few years back, also.

Obama’s problem is he’ll never be able to control us. He’s lashing out. What a joke he is. And, he knows we’re on to him. And our knowledge is going mainstream.

Do you mean the same white vans visible behind the riot squad? If that’s the case those are satellite news vans.
Just saw the video you are speaking of. Still thinking those are the vans with the journalists that travel with him (although as you and I know they could probably be classified as his cheering section anyway...).
One thing I do notice... Obama’s motorcade is MUCH bigger than Bush’s was when he came to Denver back in the fall of 2001 (AFTER 9/11). I accidentally “ran into” his while trying to get my daughter to the Children’s hospital (couldn’t figure out why so many streets were blocked! LOL).
Welcome to FR. I’m confused about your post... You seem to start out saying their protest on May 1st, won’t do much. But then you seem to advocate supporting the protest by taking the day off, not eating out, not staying in a hotel, and not buying fresh produce. Color me confused!!! Would you care to elaborate?
What a picture. I see that the SWAT guys have tons of zip ties at the ready to subdue that raging pack of grandmas. What the hell is going on in this country?
I think that zero wanted to intimidate and provoke someone to a reaction so as to make the TEA party as a whole look bad. I am happy that there were no incidents to report. Knowing zero’s media had the cameras rolling everywhere. Zero failed again to make the Tea Party people appear as a domestic terrorist group.

Yeah, zero is a fascist. But what’s really sad is that these people carry out his orders.
Anybody who thinks these drones won’t fire on their fellow citizens if a full-scale protest ever hits the ground in this country had better take a long, careful look at that video. Yeah, many of them look like a bunch of nerds, dufuses and candyasses, but they’re armed. In this job market, they won’t defy orders.
This kind of reminds me of a scene in “The Man In The Iron Mask” movie that came out about 12-13 years ago. In that movie, the old Musketeers are trying to replace the tyrannical king with his “good brother” by haunting him at a masked ball.
They have a couple 2 or 3 masks for the ball that look just like the one his twin brother, the prisoner, wore. (of course it was the twin brother of the king, and the king kept him in the iron mask so he wouldn’t ever be able to cause a conflict in the succession)
I don’t know if you saw it, but the effect was bizarre and somewhat amusing! They had the masks on and were dancing within a crowd of other dancers.The king noticed them and began to really freak out! He then ran from the ballroom, it was so haunting to him!

Lovely idea and so fitting with the ideals of the Tea Party!
But the scary thing is that these cops essentially turned on the very people they pledged to serve and protect. There is more going on here than meets the eye.
In my state, NJ, there is a big push for police department consolidation. The stated goal is to reduce law enforcement costs. But I think the real goal is to grow the power of the law enforcement unions. Remember, every society needs police. The Onadas administration is courting the police, tyhrough their unions, with promises of higher pay and more power.
People need to wake up. Can you imagine the police acquiring the same power as the teacher’s unions—and only answerable to the tyrant in the WH?
Though the presense of the SWAT Goons is silly, the fact that these policeman sold out is not.
