“Nasa: Evidence of life on Mars”
“A special mission to the Red Planet has revealed the likely presence of a form of pond scum...”
What?? This isn’t evidence! It’s conjecture. Likely presence—maybe there’s a likely presence of a KFC up there and that’s chicken grease. Cripes, what a crappy and misleading headline.
What’s the big deal about water? 30 years ago, I thought it was determined there were ice caps on Mars. I admit I haven’t kept up with it much at all. Is this supposed to be frozen ammonia or something and not water?
Still pretty interesting stuff—I just wish the grandiose and misleading headlines would go away unless it’s warranted.
“Pond scum used to justify a big increase in NASA funding.”
NOW it’s fixed.
