This bill is a great litmus test for RINO-ness.

Former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge says he's uncomfortable with Arizona's new immigration law, saying it allows police to question people without probable cause.
What's worse? People getting killed by illegals and the burden they are putting on taxpayers or cops being allowed to ask a question with reasonable suspicion? If Ridge thinks the latter, he's an embarrassment.

...12 million illegal immigrants Boy, this 12 million figure has been static now for how many years? Using this number is code for "I'm a lib."
Guess no one has crossed the border illegally since 2004? Must be that fence, huh?

You buffoon! Police have NEVER needed “probable cause” to question people (and expect their cooperation).

I suppose this means Ridge thinks cops can pull people over for “driving while Mexican-looking.” Where’d he hear that, the New York Times? Does it even matter that it’s completely false? Sounds scary enough, which is the whole point of the current national discussion.

Well in my state they have regular road blocks to check for vehicle registration, valid drivers license, liability insurance, as well as sobriety checks. No one has stopped that and the person checked up to that point has broken no laws. Unfortunately they do them in areas the illegals don't frequent. Meaning law abiding citizens are checked for such things every day so what makes an illegal alien more privileged?

Is Ridge uncomfortable with the federal immigration law? The Arizona law mirrors it, therefore, if the Arizona law makes him “uncomfortable”, the federal immigration law should too.
