To be fair, there has been much talk the last decade or so that they believed they had found it but an uncooperative Turkish government was clogging up the works. I’m not saying this is or is not the ark, but this is apparently the first time they’ve been able to go actually check this out. We’ll see if anything other than big fat claims comes of it.

i think this is the same that has been reported for the last 30 years and sat pics shown....the problem was over the years turkey would never allow expeditions to the site....

Exactly. Of course the fact that it's been found in an increasingly militant muslim country might have something to do with the repetitive attempts to verify. The Turks have been notoriously uncooperative about allowing any expeditions to scale the mountain. Gee, I wonder if a verification of this sort would tend to cast a long shadow across the tales of mohammed and his pagan god, allah? Lower case intentional.
