TOM FRIEDMAN VIA NEW YORK TIMES :
"Ive been trying to understand the Tea Party Movement. Sounds like a lot of angry people who want to get the government out of their lives and cut both taxes and the deficit. Nothing wrong with that although one does wonder where they were in the Bush years. Never mind. Im sure like all such protest movements the Tea Partiers will get their 10 to 20 percent of the vote. But should the Tea Partiers actually aspire to break out of that range, attract lots of young people and become something more than just entertainment for Fox News, I have a suggestion: Become the Green Tea Party. Id be happy to design the T-shirt logo and write the manifesto. The logo is easy. It would show young Americans throwing barrels of oil imported from Venezuela and Saudi Arabia into Boston Harbor. The manifesto is easy, too: We, the Green Tea Party, believe that the most effective way to advance Americas national security and economic vitality would be to impose a $10 Patriot Fee on every barrel of imported oil, with all proceeds going to pay down our national debt.
. . . A Patriot Fee? Greg Pollowitz
What’s hilarious is that the DUmmies consider him a right-wing neocon.
Note to Friedman: when repeating "The Big Lie", pick something that's at least a little obscure, possibly difficult to nail down to a specific timeframe, and not easily disprovable.
“neocon” = a liberal (often a Jew, who after all, “ought to know better”), who may have once uttered a single phrase, indicating that it is occassionally acceptable for the United States to, you know.....actually defend itself.
He must have a lot of children with a house that big. Does anybody know how many kids he has? I bet that 10 to 15 could live comfortably in that house. I also bet that he has 0 kids since he’s a liberal hypocrite.
Freidman is an idiot.
That’s an insult to putzes everywhere.
Friedman, for when an abortion may have been the right thing to do.
As if he’s giving up his McMansion or his pampered lifestyle.
“Ive been trying to understand the Tea Party Movement.”
Keep trying.
Tut Tut Mr gresh he is the chattering class that makes rules for us to follow but not for them...
For your huge Faux Pas i suggest you go plant a couple of trees..;>)
“confuse and muddle” seems to be the latest favorite move from the Alinsky playbook (like how they knocked the wind out of Sarah Palin’s sails by convincing vast numbers of sheeple that she was actually Tina Fey)
“Where were you during the Bush years?” is the answer we get from all the liberals. They’re even writing in to the local papers calling us hypocrites because there were no tea parties three years ago.
A couple of Friedman facts:
1) He is the richest columnist in America.
2) His house is 12,000sqf with NO solar panels or wind turbines, or as he likes to call it “clean energy”.
And Friedman's fellow Democrat travelers would promptly leverage each "$10 Patriot Fee" into a $1,000 of new spending.
No Thanks!
Like John Kerry, Tom Friedman married into the family of a successful, productive and rich capitalist. This entitles them to lecture their inferiors from within the high walls of their palaces about the evils of capitalism and how they must learn to do more with less for the good of others.
Hey Tom, how about STFU?
Hey freidman... GFY jerk.
LLS
LLS
He married into that money according to EL RUSHBO.
LLS
Could Tom Friedman be any more clueless? lol
I wonder how much energy it takes to heat that Olympic-sized swimming pool? And it probably took the entire contents of the town's water tower to fill it.
