Other than the controversial prediction itself, the timing is interesting. From what I know about when BLS does the survey for the monthly payroll and household surveys, they should have just done that survey. That means the Vice President could have been given a sneak peek as to what they found during the survey week.

Lets see CO2 Cap and Tax gets passed creating 50 new government agencies, each creating 300 federal jobs writing regulations which force States to create 20 new State agencies, each creating 100 state jobs writing state regulations which will force Business to hire 10 people to comply with Federal and State Energy regulations.
