WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama on Friday harshly criticized a proposed law in Arizona to crack down on illegal immigration and said his administration would examine the measure to see if it is consistent with federal law.
Speaking at a naturalization ceremony for active-duty members of the military, Mr. Obama also made a fresh pitch for comprehensive immigration legislation, which Democratic congressional leaders have said they will try to move this year.

I hope everyone realizes the insanity of having an agent of a contractually created entity be the final arbiter in a dispute over that contract.

Yup, I agree. I stopped hiking in the Santa Ritas in the late 90s after I saw those long trails of 50 men with water bottles, crossing. Not safe for one or two women.
When I moved to AZ for graduate school (early 90s), the southern area was sooo incredibly beautiful and unspoiled. We drank water straight out of Sycamore Canyon. The illegal criminals are directly to blame for the destruction and for us being locked out of our lands. And on this topic, even those who might normally be liberal tend to agree.
Will Obama “examine” ObamaCare to see if it doesn’t violate any laws too?

This thing is going to be attacked by the Marxist using all their force. When they do find a judge to overturn it, and the supremer court upholds it, are you Arizonans ready to fight? Do you think the governor will say, “Well, we tried.” Or will she rally a new confederacy?
