President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will depart Friday at noon for a vacation weekend in Asheville, N.C. But their two daughters, Sasha and Malia, are staying home.
The Obamas regularly visit the presidential retreat at Camp David on weekends, but when they do, it's always as a family, which includes the first lady's mother, Marian Robinson, who lives at the White House.
The first couple has no publicly scheduled events during the getaway, but according to NBC's Chuck Todd, a White House staffer suggested to the president that he could use the trip to meet with potential Supreme Court nominees outside of Washington. Obama nipped that idea in the bud, "Don't you even think about it," the president said.
They will feel right at home with the tree huggers, star gazers, witches, crystal lickers, gays, lesbians, and everything else that drags itself into the area. And yes the millionaires who will be at the Grove Park Inn as well. Someone put Asheville like this “a liberal enclave in the western conservative section”. The values of Asheville are by no means reflected in the surrounding towns or counties. They may plan on visiting the Biltmore Estate to pattern themselves a home after it. Those terrible capitalists the Vanderbilt’s.
I’m sure they didn’t but the collectivist media was breathing down the Bushes’ throats, counting EVERY second he was on “vacation” -— even if it was a working vacation. Now, these bozos have free reign to be on chronic ACTUAL, non-working vacations!!
thinking of the Obamas living in the white house brings visions of the beverly hillbillies.
obama sitting there practicing his guzintuses.
Romantic weekend, eh? Must be the weekend he suppresses his homosexual tendencies.
LOL!
We can only pray there will be no pictures.
