WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama suggested Wednesday that a new value-added tax on Americans is still on the table, seeming to show more openness to the idea than his aides have expressed in recent days.
Before deciding what revenue options are best for dealing with the deficit and the economy, Obama said in an interview with CNBC, "I want to get a better picture of what our options are."

Go to the store...and add 20% to the price of EVERYTHING. Now decide whether it makes sense to buy 4 years worth of ALL non-perishables NOW, before our new tax takes force.
The people in Argentina (who had some spare cash) are killing themselves over not spending their money before their currency became worthless. You must buy now, fill up ever storage cranny you have...prices will NEVER be better (but they will soon be MUCH WORSE).

Here’s one: Let’s dump socialism and get back to the same market economy that made us the most prosperous nation in the world.

I would settle for that initially. But, after we got Clinton "out of" there, this bunch just bided their time until they could attack us all. We need to punish them. Soundly. Then we have to take back our country by reversing every little trick they have pulled.
How can they implement a VAT and not have anyone who earns under $250,000 pay it?
A VAT tax has NEVER worked to balance any budget, it only entices more spending.
