For all the worldwide chaos that Iceland's volcano has already created, it may just be the opening act.
Scientists fear tremors at the Eyjafjallajokull volcano could trigger an even more dangerous eruption at the nearby Katla volcano creating a worst-case scenario for the airline industry and travelers around the globe.
A Katla eruption would be 10 times stronger and shoot higher and larger plumes of ash into the air than its smaller neighbor, which has already brought European air travel to a standstill for five days and promises severe travel delays for days more.

I still think its time we sacrifice Al Gore to the Volcano god!

Only a hefty tax on eruptions can save us now

It is time to get everyone in Iceland to go to Vic (since that is one of the few towns there I can pronounce) and have the US Navy come join them to tip the island over and extinguish the Volcano.
I stand ready to accept my Nobel Prize whenever they choose to annoint me.
I intend to share my prize money with my mentor, US Representative Hank Johnson , the United Nations International Climate Panel and my personal hero, Al Gore.

How can
Katla be ten times stronger than
Eyjafjallajokull?
I propose that we rename Eyjafjallajokull, "Bob", for efficiency's sake!

The only upside to this is that “Katla” is easier to pronounce and type than “Eyjafjallajokull.”

Perhaps they need to change their name from Iceland to Volcanoland.

In the past, all three known eruptions of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano triggered subsequent eruptions of the larger and more dangerous volcano Katla.

The second act could immediately follow the first act in volcano time. That could be like 60k years in human time. Better.
