Obama heckled by gays at Barbara Boxer fundraiser

How dare they interrupt the latest Sermon on the Mount!

A group of gay rights activists disrupted President Obama's speech at a fundraiser here for Sen. Barbara Boxer Monday night, decrying what they describe as Mr. Obama's inaction on overturning the military's ban on gay service members and calling on him to submit repeal language to Congress.

The activists interrupted Mr. Obama in the middle of his remarks to high-value Democratic donors during a reception at the California Science Center, with one protester shouting from the audience, "What about 'Don't ask, don't tell?'"

Mr. Obama yelled back, "We are going to do that."

He kept talking, increasing his volume to be heard over the protesters as the crowd took up a chant of "Yes, we can," to drown them out.

The One was none too pleased with the interruptions as the look on his face clearly showed. His advance team constantly restricts audiences to include only friendly faces so expect gay rights groups to be disinvited to these Obama shindigs from now on.

Meanwhile, the Ed Lasky points out a slight double standard regarding Obama's fundraising in this LA Times article::

L.A. Times : 'This is the second trip toCalifornia in which Obama has taken Air Force One to attend a fundraiser with no official business on his schedule. The other was a trip last fall to San Francisco. A Democratic Party official said 'the DNC and the Boxer campaign will pay travel costs as legally required.' Obama's fundraising pace has already exceeded that of George W. Bush, who was criticized by Democrats for the amount of time he spent raising money for campaigns.'
