Carrying loaded pistols and unloaded rifles, dozens of gun-rights activists got as close as they could Monday to the nation's capital while still bearing arms and delivered what they said was a simple message: Don't tread on me.
Hundreds of like-minded but unarmed counterparts carried out a separate rally in the nation's capital.
The gun-carrying protesters in Virginia rallied on national park land, which is legal thanks to a new law signed by President Barack Obama that allows guns in national parks. Organizers said it's the first armed rally in a national park since the law passed.(continued)

Then you aren't gifted with much vision either.
...and this doesnt make me a liberal or any other name the thought-impaired in thios forum might grasp onto in lieu of a real counter argument.
Actually, it does. It just makes you an allegedly gun-owning liberal.
Its not the left we are trying to win, its the vast middle ground with all the soccer moms and squeamish middle class.
Without them there is no victory for us. I’m not saying its
wrong to parade with guns, just ill-advised. Most people don’t associate guns with anything except killing. I’m
just saying - its not going to win a lot of unconvinced to our side.
Why? You haven't made one.
All you've done is:
A. Attempt to bait posters into making threats
B. Explain your lack of understanding about why the people at the rally are doing what they're doing.
Neither one of which is an argument.
So, I've ridiculed your (A) comments. And as to (B) I have no inclination to explain why an exercise of a right is something that needs further elucidation.
You feel that a lawful exercise of a sovereign right is a bad thing. Well that's just too bad. No one is interested in how you or any other libtard feels about it.

I think it's clear which side you are on.
You mean the libbies who passed this bill in Congress or the Lib in the White House who signed the bill? Shouldn’t we be thanking them for that?
On a National Level, we won. On a local level, we lost.
Its evident that you are unable to articulate a point without resorting to puerile namecalling.
Right on the money.
They acutually said, “The regulars are coming.”
Good people have guns. It is their right.
I think the message has to go out strongly that there are millions of good, steady normal people that have firearms, are careful with firearms, and have the right and responsibility to the Constitution to have those firearms.
good people have guns. It is their right.
The left has continually painted gun ownership as crazy and frightening. They continually show guns are only proper in the hands of the state. If they win that propagnada war, game over.
Good people have guns. It is their right.
People should be FAR more fearful of the creeping tyranny, the loss of privacy in all forms, the growing dependence on the political class and the governments ability to crush the individual.
Good people have guns. It is their right.
And that is the burden of the 2nd amendment: the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
The founders were not products of antiquity - the were modern, incredibly brave, clear thinking people that knew the best of humankind...and the very worst.
They wrote the Constitution so we could be our best and protect the people from humankinds worst.
**and this doesnt make me a liberal or any other**
Judging by all your posts, sir... you are either a LIBERAL or a RONPAUL Supporter
It does make you .. a KOOK!!
When did you stop beating your wife and kids, troll?
He does call himself a “fanboy” in his bogus personal description.
Supposedly he’s a VN vet (according to himself.)
What vet calls himself a “fanboy?”
A DU poser troll, that kind.
Yup.
"What I think is important to note is that many of the speakers have really threatened violence, and it's a real threat to the rule of law," Josh Horwitz, executive director of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, said of the program for the armed rally. "They are calling health care and taxes that have been duly enacted by a democratically elected Congress tyrannical, and they feel they have a right to confront that individually."
I don’t know why you keep calling American citizens who are expressing their rights as American citizens, nutcases and fringe nutcases.
Those who would want to deny an American citizen his or her rights are the only fringe, libtard, democrat progressive or otherwise, nutcases.
Senator Coburn stuck an amendment on a credit card reform bill, about a year ago. The DEM Senators didn't want to vote against the amendment; and the bill was important so Obama didn't dare to veto it.
So -- you sit on your @$$ in front of a keyboard and bi*ch about the efforts of others. What are you doing to help the situation?
