The scandal of the aftermath of the vicious political attack on Alexandra "Allee" Bautsch, the chief fundraiser for Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and her boyfriend, Joe Brown, as they left a Republican fundraiser attended by three GOP governors (Jindal, Rick Perry of Texas and Haley Barbour of Mississippi) April 9th has taken a sickening turn as a report has surfaced that some in the Lousiana GOP are giving Bautsch what amounts to a second beating by starting a whispering campaign that she "earned" the attack with her "sassy mouth."
Blogger Pat Dollard, who has been working the story of the attack, Tweeted last night accusing some in the Louisiana GOP of saying that Bautsch deserved the attack and that he's confirmed the Louisiana "Republican establishment" is trying to "shut down the Allee Bautsch story." His report is in contrast to a statement by Louisiana GOP Chairman Louis Villere, Jr.--who has not blamed Bautsch for the attack--that he was pursued without provocation by protesters outside the same event where Bautsch and Brown were later attacked.
Dollard's report lends credence to what a reporter who is also working the story told me on background last week, that the scuttlebutt was that people were going to be saying Bautsch has a "big mouth" and "may have brought the attack on herself."
Dollard's Tweets:
"I have verification that the Republican establishment in Louisiana is trying to shut down the Allee Bautsch story."

Gov. Jindal has been noticably silent on the maiming of his aide, issuing a brief statement three days after the attack when it first became public and later sending out his spokesman to deny a report that the couple was wearing Sarah Palin pins when attacked. Curiously, the New Orleans police also waited three days until the attack became public to open a criminal investigation.
Bautsch's mother, Della Berning, says her daughter's leg was stomped and broken in four places by protesters who were part of an anti-Republican protest organized by leftists who followed the couple from Brennan's restaurant, the scene of the fundraiser.
Bautsch's wounds required a rod and seven screws to be implanted in her leg. Brown suffered a broken nose and jaw and as well as a concussion that gave him problems with remembering details of the attack.
According to the police report, which is based on Brown's beating-induced foggy memory, the attackers yelled things like, " "Little blonde bitch," "You're a f------- faggot," and "You think you're f------ special."
Bautsch's mother told Fox News, "...things were said to my daughter and to her boyfriend that basically everything was about money. From the time they were walking out of the restaurant things were being said to them."
Berning told Yahoo News that Brown and her daughter have told her they were attacked by protesters who followed them as they left the fundraiser at Brennan's.
The host of the fundraiser, Louisiana Republican Chairman Roger Villere, Jr., said in an intrview that he was targeted and pursued by protesters as he tried to leave the fundraiser. He and his group had to leave out the back as the protesters had blocked the entrance to Brennan's. When the protesters spotted them, Villere and his group fled to a taxi and made their escape. Bautsch and Brown weren't as lucky.
Some conservative bloggers and reporters have hurt their reputations with their condescending efforts to play down the political basis for the attack on Bautsch and Brown.
Pat Dollard spoke for many last night when he Tweeted:
Welcome to the Stockholm Syndrome of the Republican Establishment, and the Elites of the Conservative Blogging Establisment who prop 'em up.

And
I'm getting the feeling that the elites in the Conservative blogging establishment are as useless as the elites in the GOP.

With the mainstream media feeling no pressure to pursue the story, it's no wonder some in the Louisiana GOP are not afraid to blame the victim.
Fortunately, The Hayride, Free Republic, Human Events, Gateway Pundit, Big Government, Lincoln Parish News Online, Tennessee Conservative, Big Journalism and Pat Dollard have maintained their independence from GOP and MSM approval and reported the story as it developed.
While late to the story, Fox News and Megyn Kelly get credit for interviewing Bautsch's mother last Friday and for booking The Hayride's Scott McKay to be on about 2:10 p.m. EDT today.
When I listened to the mother, I felt she was being very guarded and careful with her words.
Is that because she did not want to damage an investigation?
Was she told not to divulge certain things having the confidence things were being handled?
Or are things so out of control that we are in intellectual lock-down for fear of our safety there in NO and around the country?
Right now this is looking like a big win for the Brown Shirts.
I would say if Bobby Jindal can’t defend his own staffers in regard to this unprovoked CRIMINAL attack, how could anyone trust him to defend the American people if he were POTUS? I hope he will address this and soon.
Great job in keeping us informed on this situation, kristinn. Thank you!
and everyone one in an open casket looks like they’re sleeping.
I don’t know. This seems fishy to me. The whole thing. Something isn’t right.
I live in the Twin Cities area. One St Paul City Councilperson spoke in support for the terrorists Democrat operatives, and loudly protested their investigation, arrest, and prosecution. I am surprised that the Ramsey County Sheriff had the stones to actually lead up the charges against these punks (with assistance from the Feds since there would have been federal felony charges involved). The courts however disappointed me - the punks only got the proverbial slap on the wrist. What? One of the obvious charges would have been attempted capital murder of a peace officer. Ooops, silly me, I forget! This is Minnestoopid, not Texas!
true, but it seems like something very fishy is going on with this. I don’t know what, but I have no idea who to believe.
Go back to the democrat underground. You are the dumbest SOB on the internet. Their injuries are confirmed. Why act like they did not happen? You just want to make up your own facts?
So, covering/hiding info and promoting people to walk into very dangerous situations makes good economic sense for cities?
Ciudad Juárez take note.
Don't count the ones you've seen in movies. They're fake.
wow. chill out. I am just saying something is very not right here.
What were the thugs “protesting”, one wonders. Our existence?
Did I miss it?
I'm glad we don't have to rely on your intelligence. What does not seem right? Can you pinpoint what does not seem right? I doubt it. They were attacked by liberals and others who left were confronted too. You are just trying to make it “not seem right” because you are a democrat.
I agree with you there!
Nailed it!
“In this picture, it does not look like Brown has a broken nose and jaw, or that Bautsch has a leg broken in four places.”
Ridiculous statement. Do you have x-ray vision? If not...
What’s sad is that many liberals feel this way - they are so over emotional when it comes to politics (as we know that’s how they formulate opinions and debate as well).
I had a couple of former friends during the 2008 election get upset when there was a fake lynching at a college and there were some offense things being said and sent via email about Obama. When I said that many of these things were getting out of hand and it was happening on both sides, they disagreed. I suggested that none of that type of incendiary behavior was acceptable for anybody and used examples of the Sarah Palin effigy, Palin t-shirts w/ her face been punched in, etc. to show it was happening on both sides, and guess what? They tried to explain that it was different and Sarah Palin needed to be beaten to a pulp.
Needless to say I haven’t spoken to those individuals since.
