Rasmussen: What They Told Us: Reviewing Last Week’s Key Polls (Rat Disaster Alert)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | April 17, 2010 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 04/18/2010 4:10:34 AM PDT by Zakeet

For some people, no means yes.

Thirty-nine percent (39%) of U.S. voters, in fact, think it’s just fine that Republicans in Washington are serving as the Party of No. Democrats have tagged the GOP with the nickname because they won’t go along with President Obama’s agenda.

Seventy-four percent (74%) of voters correctly identify Republicans as the political party some have labeled the Party of No. Despite, or perhaps because of, this high level of awareness, Republicans have built a solid lead [of 9 points] over Democrats on the Generic Congressional Ballot.

Speaking of unhappiness with the president’s agenda, 24% of voters now consider themselves a part of the Tea Party movement. That’s an eight-point increase over the past month, a period in which congressional Democrats most notably passed their national health care plan. Another 10% say they are not a part of the movement but have close friends or family members who are.

The Tea Party movement still defies easy description. But new data from Rasmussen Reports national telephone surveys tells us among other things that 89% disapprove of the way that Obama is handling his job as president. That figure includes 82% who Strongly Disapprove. By a 94%-to-one-percent (1%) margin, those in the Tea Party movement trust the judgment of the American people more than America’s political leaders.

But Tea Party voters aren’t just teed off at Democrats. Ask Florida Governor Charlie Crist whose support in his bid for the U.S. Senate has fallen to its lowest level yet. Arizona Senator John McCain, who less than two years ago was the Republican presidential nominee, is now in a tough struggle just to get his own party’s Senate nomination, again due in part to Tea Party unhappiness with him.

A Sat thread reported Frances Piven (of Cloward-Piven fame) is now on board with “Project Vote” - ACORN’s new voter fraud group....and just in time for mid-term elections. The voter fraud efforts will be extraordinary!

“The Tea Party movement still defies easy description.”
I think this is the key to the success. As long as the group remains un defined and amorphous we will stay ahead of the MSM. If they define us they will divide us...

The objective this year is to get Congress back in American Hands. Then take the White House in 2012.

RINO's must be deeply saddened to hear this. They have been claiming that 'Party of No' won't cut it at the upcoming election this fall.

Agree 100%; however, let’s not forget we are up against the biggest communist-based voter fraud machines in the the history of America. That was the point of my previous post.

They can only win very close races with the fraud machine. We have to have landslides. Also they are exposed. The exposure will lead to more losses than they can make up for with the fraud.

Re: Pelosi, here again is the article they refer to when they say Nancys job approval rating is up.... Of course that just means her massive highly disapproval rating changed a little and they write it as if she is riding high in the polls. So disingenuous...

A new Rasmussen Reports nationwide telephone survey finds that Pelosi is now viewed favorably by 43% of U.S. voters, up 14 points from last month when just 29% felt this way about the Democrat from California. This figure includes 21% who have a very favorable opinion of Pelosi, up 10 points from last month and the highest level measured since regular tracking on this question began in early February 2009.
Pelosi remains the most unpopular congressional leader, however, as she has been for months. Fifty-two percent (52%) of voters have an unfavorable view of her, although that’s down 12 points from last month and the lowest level measured since early February of last year. The new finding includes 40% with a very unfavorable view of her. Last month, Pelosi reached her highest unfavorable rating since August 2009

The Wee Wee's Job Approval is continuing its overall downward trend.

I'd be hard pressed to say that the socialist's "approve" numbers have dropped over the past six months. He got a bump from the far left when they passed ObamaCare, and he lost a corresponding share of the center as they learned what was in ObamaCare, but otherwise we just have random fluctuations in approval. He may have reached his floor on that side. It's in disapproval, particularly the degree to which those who don't approve go all the way over to strong disapproval, that I see a continuing trend. Interpretation: those who love Obama still love him but without the intensity and enthusiasm shown by the patriotic Americans who oppose Obama; those who don't love Obama are motivated to get out and vote. November will be beautiful!

I admire your enthusiasm; however, the GOP simply refuses to address this problem and ACORN will focus & increase their efforts to add 10 points to any race. It's just as easy to add 10-20,000 votes to a precinct as it is 1,000 votes considering we typically have only 35% turnout in mid-terms.

So more than just "close races" will be affected. God help us all!

I just do not think they can pull it off. Too many people are becoming aware and paying attention.

If they try that, and stole the election of 2010, I would endore us turning out en masse in the streets like the Gree Shirts in Iran, after THEIR rigged elections.

If that occurs, it would be what strikes the match to begin CW2 and an all out revolution. I would support any method to take back America - far too much is at stake.

"The Newt says we should be the Party of Yes...

it depends on what it is we are saying yes to. We definitely want to say yes to entitlement reform, to more drilling and nuclear power, to the overhaul of the tax code, to serious spending cuts, etc. It is not enough merely to oppose the Dems' radical agenda, we need to roll back damage that has been done by both parties and set a new course.
